I used to like that feature as well. Not a NEED to have but a NICE to have. Great if Greg gets it back on, but if not, I'm sure we'll be ok.

Thank for taking the time to share this. For those of you that still feel that the change was unnecessary, you're just going to have to deal with it. It's been mentioned many times in many threads every time there is a change (because this is not the first time and it won't be the last) If you don't like it, don't come back. I doubt any of you will do that though. You'd rather come on here and complain about everything that the old version had. Since this new format started, they have been integrating many of the old features. It takes time. Would you have rather the site be down for days until they get all of the old into the new? You would have then complained about that! Some of you, there is just no pleasing you. I hate to think what will happen, if it hasn't already, when your testicles begin to hang lower than usual. Who will you complain to then? How will you prevent them from getting caught up in your zipper or slipping out of your shorts? Change is everywhere! Please allow the owners and Admins time. They invest their personal time and money to giving us a great place to share our passion for this hobby...and yes, shut up and go build something!

People still put alarms on cars??? Sounds like a waste of money. Just me though. I know what you mean. But you'd be surprised how much more money they make this way. Almost 3x as much...sometimes more on the vintage AMT/JoHan kits.. The other thing is lots of times folks wont buy an entire kit for one part. If they can save a few bucks to get the only part they need, some will. Not me. That's why I have a junkyard of parts!

But why do the majority of us have to suffer with locked threads because of handful of silly chicks that can't keep their political views to themselves. Don't you have some sort of warning system here? Use it. Ban them. The people that can play together and get along are the ones that should still be allowed here. You don't have the time to babysit, then get rid of the babies. I guarantee it'll make life easier on you and lots of people here will be happier about it. Next thing you know we wont be able to build a black car or a brown truck or a Japanese car. Where does it end. If one person feels offended, then maybe they shouldn't be here...and by here I mean the internet. There are thousands of offending things on the web. Like other sites, you dont like it, you don't go them. This is a MODEL CAR FORUM. It's always been suggested to build to what you like. And if we start to build making sure we don't offend anyone, we'll never have fun. If you don't like what you see here, keep your mouth shut, don't comment, and move along....or better yet, don't come back!

Your build is top notch, James. It's unfortunate that because one member, sarcasm or not, made a comment, the good members have to suffer. I'm wondering if he's starting a movement to not allow the General Lee in model car contests as well...

Thanks Mike. That was just enough to find what it is. It's a copy of the old AMT 67 Impala. I have some tops I will be posting later that I need help with as well. Man you guys are amazing being able to identify these just like that. I hope I can the same after some time.

I do t think anyone's embarrassed of how much we spend on Thai but starting to keep track of everyone my you spend on this hobby would probably take the fun out of it. I know a ballpark figure but I would never go around saying I have $x invested. It's funnier to say I have x many kits!
