  1. Sharp, clean, and mint!
  2. As do I, or a spoon test; always a good practice.
  3. Very impressive conversion from the Delta 88, which has an almost entirely different body and different wheelbase.
  4. Thanks. I still need to make a tach out of something, and then the end of this build is near.
  5. I got Dwayne's master a couple of weeks ago to make sure it was ready for its date with the silicone. After a very light sanding with 1000 grit paper, it was. Amazing work, perhaps Dwayne's most accurate car to date. Chief Joseph did the wheel and tire masters just for this model, both the steelies and dog dish caps and the "shower drain" Pontiac wheel covers. I don't know exactly how he does this, but his parts are perfect to the tiniest detail, right down to the valve stems. Special Police lettered tires will also be included. I am working on the glass buck, and I'll do the glass sets that will come with the kits.
  6. That just hits all the right notes.
  7. Dual exhaust conversion. I mean, you gotta have that.
  8. Mint!
  9. Cool idea. Here's another vintage muscle car radio car.
  10. Automotive paints are almost always too hot for plastics, and automotive clear can be very tricky.
  11. After letting the filler settle, got it in paint. Testors Wimbledon White, AKA Polar White in Mercspeak. Tamiya clear. Had to be decanted and airbrushed because the newer Testors spray cans only last a year or two before they start leaking at the seams. Interior is red with maroon carpet.
  12. Very nice job on a kit you rarely see built, great period color combo as well.
  13. I like the color. I'd be tempted to build it nice rather than weathered at this point.
  14. Very nice, looks like you nailed the proportions.
  15. That was common practice on TV shows in the '60s and '70s. Note the dull coated mirror on the Falcon in Adam-12.
  16. Body work done on the 1/4s. Fussy stuff, glad that part is in the rear view mirror. .
  17. Neat, I don't think I've ever seen one built nicely.
  18. I'd like to do one like this, stock with vinyl top and skirts. No idea where the stock wheel covers would come from, Maybe someone offers 3D printed ones?
  19. It's pretty boxy on the real car too.
  20. Raised the grille about about 1/16", which also allowed the scoops to be narrowed. Doesn't seem like much, but in this scale, it tightened it up. Before:
  21. Thanks Ray. Moved the rear bumper/grille up to match the new 1/4 panel position. Shaved the bottoms of the 1/4s to bring them back up to the bumper. This was a big improvement, giving the back of the car the long, lean appearance that the Comets had, and that this kit was lacking. Next up is to move the front bumper/grille up which should hopefully have the same effect on the front appearance.
  22. The struggle is real!
  23. This is coming out very well, and fast too. The color, engine and wheels give it a 427 Cobra vibe that the original show car never had, and it works.
  24. Those downhill sloping pontoons were crushing my soul. Once you see, you cannot unsee. This will necessitate moving the rear bumper/grille up to match the new taillight location, and why not also move the front bumper/grille up since it also sits too low. I've still convinced myself that I'm not getting carried away.
