  1. It's all about perspective. If the buyer was a divorce attorney in Manhattan, it was a drop in the well. -MJS
  2. I missed this the first time around. Different for sure. -MJS
  3. Swingin'. I can see that hauling a Mullins trailer with jail bars for the perps. -MJS
  4. They used to sell door-to-door (chaperoned) which was really cute, but now they don't do that anymore, they just ambush you at grocery stores or the parents sell them at their work. Maybe general laziness is a sign of the times, but I just say, "No thanks." -MJS
  5. Very nice looking car. kinda Fairlane-like. -MJS
  6. Make no mistake, those are all very hard hits. Those cars react to lighter hits like anything else - fender benders and the like. -MJS
  7. Very nice job on two kits that rarely get any bench time, yet are seen all the time in the wild. -MJS
  8. One of these days, I will finish this. -MJS
  9. His bid may well have been higher than $43, but the ebay proxy bidding system increased it enough to beat yours and likely one other guy who bid $42. So he may have outbid you by $20 or more, you can never know. -MJS
  10. Great job, that car is wild. -MJS
  11. 2013 Civic 4dr: 2,943 - 2,992 lbs. 1972 Coronet 4dr: 3,417 - 3,487 lbs. A Crown Vic interceptor is about 4,000 pounds, subcompact cars aren't as heavy. -MJS
  12. I like it! It would be lots of fun to have a 1:1 version to take to the classic Mustang shows just to see the look of terror on the faces of the date-coded hose clamp types. -MJS
  13. Thanks José, Mike, and Terry. Terry, the Master Caster is still working on the new mold for the body, this one will have the front bumper cover as a separate piece for casting purposes. The old one piece mold worked fine, but Greg only got around 29 pulls from it before one of the grille bars tore free. When that happens, a whole new mold has to be made. This way, if something happens to the bumper mold, the body is unaffected. He's taking care of the last issue or two with the new mold, and then the bodies should be ready soon. -MJS
  14. Great idea, that really reads right. Very slick build. -MJS
  15. Yes, that car is finished in the Under Glass forum. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=82919&hl=1992 -MJS
  16. Stellar! (And yes, more pics please) -MJS
  17. I like almost every version of that Ford I've seen built, but this one especially. Great job! -MJS
  18. Beautiful job, love the finish and colors on the chassis. -MJS
  19. One of my favorite Lincolns, they screwed one up but good on Fast'n'Loud. -MJS
  20. Thanks Mark. Roger, the black is the bare acetate, the white is painted. -MJS
  21. I've got a black '57 Ford promo that I'm restoring for a friend. Someone detailed it in the past with silver paint on the side trim, and it had custom parts glued to it, so it needs bodywork and the white repainted. I've tried Purple Power and Easy-Off under the trunk lid, and both attack the acetate. What can be used to strip this car without damaging the black plastic? -MJS
