  1. Yes, that car is finished in the Under Glass forum. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=82919&hl=1992 -MJS
  2. Stellar! (And yes, more pics please) -MJS
  3. I like almost every version of that Ford I've seen built, but this one especially. Great job! -MJS
  4. Beautiful job, love the finish and colors on the chassis. -MJS
  5. One of my favorite Lincolns, they screwed one up but good on Fast'n'Loud. -MJS
  6. Thanks Mark. Roger, the black is the bare acetate, the white is painted. -MJS
  7. I've got a black '57 Ford promo that I'm restoring for a friend. Someone detailed it in the past with silver paint on the side trim, and it had custom parts glued to it, so it needs bodywork and the white repainted. I've tried Purple Power and Easy-Off under the trunk lid, and both attack the acetate. What can be used to strip this car without damaging the black plastic? -MJS
  8. The paint on the roof of my black 1/18 '60 Starliner is cracked and flaking off, but the rest of the car is mint, and the roof is plastic, try to figure that one out. Makes me mad, because the black version with dog dish hub caps was a hobby store exclusive and is kinda rare. At least I can repaint the roof... but I probably wont. -MJS
  9. Really?
  10. Very cool project, and my favorite Roadkill episode thus far. -MJS
  11. Wow, I heard rumors about this. Super clean and detailed build, and just a bit ironic that a fire department car is made partially out of wood. I hope that hinge material re-appears, it gives me some ideas. -MJS
  12. So is he a scale curb stoner? -MJS
  13. I shall own several. How could this not be a good seller? -MJS
  14. I wish we could trade you guys some heat for some cool, it's supposed to get to 80º here tomorrow, which is swell and all; but I like working in cooler weather. -MJS
  15. Gorgeous. -MJS
  16. Awesome! I used to have the original JoHan Schartman Comet kit. Shouldn't have sold it... -MJS
  17. It's obviously a twin plug race Hemi that they were going for; maybe they didn't get it exactly right, but close. -MJS
  18. Easy to build for the make'n'takes, tough toy when finished, possibility of dealer promo models and full detail kits, I don't see any negatives here. -MJS
  19. Best General Lee I have seen, against the right back ground/base it would look real. -MJS
  20. Very nice! -MJS
  21. Great color combo, finish and BMF work, I like the look of the wheels, but they could stand to be a bit smaller, love the EFI 5.0 with Cobra intake. -MJS
  22. Yes I am, when the new batch of bodies starts rolling out, one of them will get converted. I have a few other projects to tend to, but it shouldn't be long. -MJS
  23. I used to think the same thing when I saw a car park in a disabled spot and a normal looking person got out and walked away, not that I ever confronted anyone on it. But that was before I became disabled for almost three years with a nasty neurological condition. I looked normal, but wasn't. I couldn't drive a car, so I never got a card; but I learned fast that there are all kinds of disabilities, not just the obvious ones. -MJS
  24. The Chi-Coms confiscated nearly the entire diecast tooling library of GMP several years ago, and so far, none of their products have shown up unauthorized for sale anywhere that I'm aware of. And if the Danbury Mint models materialized in that fashion, it would be very uncool to buy stolen intellectual property, no matter how tempting the price. -MJS
