  1. It's mainly the interior, the base 4 cyl/police/5.0 LX interior with the phone dial wheels could be either the civilian '90, and no later, or the police version to '93. No police car ever had the Pony wheels, and no civilian '91-'93 pony wheel equipped car ever had the base seats/interior; all had the sport seats and tweed upholstery. '91-'93 civilian 5.0 LXs were only equipped with the Pony wheels, the phone dials those years were police/SSV only. Also, the kit has no door panel pockets, which were added in '90, so the door panels are not correct for the '90 anyway. So to make it a correct '91-'93, the Pony wheels will have to be added with wider, lower profile tires, the seats and upholstery will have to be changed, and the door panel pockets will have to be added. -MJS
  2. A timeless beauty, that car is. -MJS
  3. Fantastic work. I've always liked the W2; it's kind of like a Countach, only more so. -MJS
  4. Ken, I just so happen to have a pair of taillight lenses from a Nichimo 1:16 scale '68 Shelby. Think you could use them? -MJS
  5. Not only does it include the wheel decals, but I used them on my red coupe, on your resin Pony wheels. -MJS
  6. Sure. If you can post pictures of them, we can tell you what they are and how old. -MJS
  7. Beautiful job. There was a Fotomat near me in a grocery store parking lot for ever, the main building still stands and is now a drive-up bottled water kiosk. Desert, you know. -MJS
  8. Quite the assortment, quite the imagination, quite the quality. -MJS
  9. Great build and details, and I always like models of actual cars. -MJS
  10. I don't care who you are, that's funny right there!
  11. What is this "snow" you speak of? -MJS
  12. Looks great! -MJS
  13. Looking great, Those 19" Pegasus sleeves are darn useful, I wish there was still an easy way to get them. -MJS
  14. Fantastic job, I've never seen a stock one in any scale, including 1:1. It's a nice looking car in stock form. -MJS
  15. I say the stock hood, but with the center curved down for radiator exhaust like on a GT40. -MJS
  16. Wow, very impressive conversion, looks correct from all angles. -MJS
  17. Thanks Sean. I've been admiring your builds, and photography, for some time. I need to visit your site for the Petty Turbine car story. -Mike
  18. Thanks Tyrone. I've been following your Outlaw build too, and it's very impressive. I love the stance, and I'm looking forward to seeing your final color scheme and finishing detail choices. I think that the kit body is perfect for an outlaw car, as you see them with lowered roofs and other mods to make them more stable at 200+ MPH. Thank you Niko. They are available, PM Greg Wann for a price shipped overseas. -Mike S.
  19. Thanks Eric, your champagne coupe is super clean, and I studied it carefully for tips on finishing mine. I borrowed a few, like the black around the fender emblems, and I did do the dark green radio dial, although you can't see it in the workbench thread because my photography isn't as good as yours. Thank you very much, Ron. -Mike
  20. These two Mustangs are fantastic, Oscar. Your sig line says "Lacking motivation". Really? Could've fooled me. -MJS
  21. Thanks for the nice words, gentlemen. Making the master was as much fun for me as building the kit with the resin body. Everything just came together, and nothing fought me as is usually the case. I'm looking forward to building the next master, but I need to tune up the coupe master and get it to Greg so he can make a new mold. I'm on it. Thanks Ryan. All the glass and light lenses are glued in with clear enamel paint, a tip from the aircraft builders who use it on canopies. Brush a little on the edges of the glass and the surrounding areas on the body, let it tack up for a couple of minutes, and lightly press the part into place. Then dab a little more into the corners with a fine brush to add extra adhesion. When dry, it's completely invisible. The enamel grabs well, doesn't smear paint, and doesn't fog like CA glue. Thanks Dan. It was a great meeting; food, friends, and model cars. What else do you need? -Mike S.
  22. Finished, (finally) and a pretty close match to the 1:1 version. All emblems are photoetch from Model Car Garage. A few extra details were added to the engine, idle air bypass valve was cut off of the throttle body and glued back on at the proper angle. -MJS
  23. Nice looking hatch, Carlos. It's done, I'll try to get some decent shots tomorrow for Under Glass. But until then, a couple of teasers: -MJS
  24. I masked it with automotive tape stripe and sprayed it with Testors clear blue. -MJS
  25. Have you seen the prices on OEM? -MJS
