  1. Beautiful! Don'tcha just love old Pontiacs?
  2. Great Idea!! I've even got blank decal sheet in case I screw something up. Thanks!!
  3. I dig it!! I really like it laid out with the new fenders. Sharp design.
  4. Gorgeous. I think I'd replace the vent windows with some acetate, but otherwise very nice.
  5. I like it!! Looks like what would've happened if Chevy had kept making Fleetline Aerosedans.
  6. The others are right. You can attempt this, but it's still going to show as imperfections in the plastic. Your best bet would be to match it as closely as possible with a true paint, and you'll be happier with the results.
  7. Wow! Great tip! I lose more parts this way.
  8. Cool idea! This thing would be a monster on the track.
  9. I'm normally not into the low rider look, but this is killer work. Keep it up!!
  10. They look fantastic! What scale are these?
  11. really nice work so far! You should start casting some of these engines. They're beautiful.
  12. Love the color on this. Which kit is this? Jo-Han?
  13. I'm interested. Keep going!
  14. Need to get another one of these. One of my favorite cars of all time and you're doing a fantastic job. Keep it up!
  15. Got 2 but they're both still in the box. A 78 Landau by Trumpeter, and a Revell 86 Monte Carlo SS. The SS is really just parts for the Trumpeter kit.
  16. The dash looks really nice. Keep up the good work.
  17. If I remember correctly, they laid the foil down on the washed and dried bare plastic part and burnished it down tight. Then primered and painted as needed, using a rubber pencil eraser to rub through the layers. I don't remember whether they "erased" after each layer or after everything was down. I hope this helps.
  18. Yeah, got one of these at Ollie's. I think I'm gonna keep the body and chuck the rest. The body looks to be decent, but the chassis and engine are CHEAP!
  19. Watching the buildup on all of these was amazing. Stunning work. I just hadn't realized they were all the same person. How do you not work for a museum?
  20. I use Testor's dullcote all the time on acrylics for my resin kits. I've never run into a problem. But I agree to test it on scrap plastic first.
  21. Gorgeous job! Love the color!
  22. I'll have to try it.
  23. It's also pretty easy to clean up if you happen to get some on your finger and touch the windows. just catch it before it dries and use a wet cloth to clean up. If it dries you have to use something to gently scrape it off.
  24. I think he means the clear parts adhesive. I've been using it for a while. It seems to be pretty solid when dry. I would recommend clamping parts that you're in doubt about until they completely harden. It dries VERY clear.
