  1. Wicked! I like the looks of what you've started.
  2. Looks really good so far. I've been using brushed on dullcoat for the carpet flocking. One heavy coat before and then a light coat of spray on after it dries to secure it.
  3. I've been kinda curious about the JADA kits. Nice to see one being built up. Good work so far. Keep it up!
  4. Well, They aren't cars, but: To explain some of them: the two on the bikes are actually Thai knockoffs of better kits. The bike that Cloud is on was mostly crushed by the larger parts, and the frame was completely destroyed. I scratchbuilt a frame from round stock based on the drawings in the instructions. The sportbike was just terribly molded and I had to do a lot of work on it to get it together. Overall they turned out pretty well. I just recently got back into cars, so I don't have as many of them to show off.
  5. Great save!! Looks really nice.
  6. I think it would come down to "where are you going to get parts?". I'm not sure if RR parts would be available from Advance or Auto Zone. I'd be willing to bet that unless you got knock offs or recycled parts, you gotta go through the manufacturer.
  7. I've got cars on the shelf, but they're sharing space with some resin anime kits and a couple of Star Trek kits. I do a little of everything. Looking forward to building the Enterprise C. On my bench right now I've got a 58 T-Bird and a resin kit of a girl with guns.
  8. Can someone please make a decent late 90's Deville? I'd love to have a kit of the 1:1 I used to have.
  9. Discount Drug Mart here has a kind of a nice model section in their toys section. I picked up a couple of kits from their clearance. Got an Amigo Pack 96 Impala SS, a metal body Chrsyler Crossfire and an 89 cougar. None were more than $10 each.
  10. the avatar and name I use are from a character from a Champions RPG I played years and years ago. Fortunately since Champions is now an MMO, I've got him in a more live version.
  11. I've bought most of them on Ebay, some from Hobby Lobby and some from other online retailers. I generally buy my supplies from one of the local LHS or Hobby Lobby/Michaels. Sometimes supplies come from more exotic sources, like Blick Arts & Crafts or even the local office supply.
  12. I like where you're going with this. Keep it up!
  13. I got a pressure cooker, will that work? Just kidding. I'll probably just use a slow setting clear.
  14. Pliers and brute strength. Once in a great while it'll take 2 sets of pliers; one for the cap and one for the bottle. Just don't squeeze too hard. I've ended up punching a hole in the cap once or twice if it was something I was going to use a very limited amount of and was going to replace soon after.
  15. I've never had this problem with tires eating into plastic/clear parts. Thanks for the warning, though.
  16. I actually want one of these. I'd be willing to try and scratchbuild the drivetrain and suspension. Sounds like fun.
  17. Nice job salvaging such a glue bomb. Your paint job is awesome.
  18. I got a full detail one of these on order from HLJ. You're doing good work on this one!
  19. I like the top one better. I think it fits the lines of the nose a lot better. good work. I love the artillery wheels.
  20. Looking really good so far. I like the wheel combo with that body style. Nice work!
  21. This is an awesome conversion. I love it! Keep going.
  22. I'm working on casting a few things I need. Mostly clear headlight pieces to replace those cheap chromed ones, and some clear tail lights. I got the molds made, just have to get the time to cast.
  23. Very Pretty! Nice job!
  24. Wow, looks really good. What scale?
