  1. Now the 1/20 scale kits from Lindberg are nice. I had the Dodge Stealth and the S-10 kits and they were really detailed.
  2. Nice idea and good work. I'll be watching this one.
  3. Brake fluid works pretty good.
  4. Looks like some PE was used. Fantastic job so far.
  5. I've been working my way up to doing engine wiring. I figured it would be better to work on my overall technique before I got into that.
  6. Yep, that's the one, probably from the same seller. Can't complain for $8.
  7. The Lindberg Challenger kit from Ollie's. The 1953 Victoria is pretty nice and I'm happy with that one. The Challenger is an exercise in awful.
  8. 2009 Chevy Malibu LS (fleet package), white with a grey interior. Got a screaming deal on it. It's a pretty nice little car. I kinda miss the Cadillac sometimes, but I don't miss the Northstar engine.
  9. Does travelling to Chicago, living in a hotel for 3 weeks to a month and staying in a waiting room for 13 hours count? My wife had open heart surgery last summer. She's doing good now.
  10. I liked Overhaulin', especially before they changed the format and stopped "stealing" the people's cars. That was what made the show.
  11. Maybe with Moebius driving a little chaos into the mix, some of the other companies will start to push their products again.
  12. Hey, I got an AM Grand Sport kit, but mine's got a different hood scoop than the one I keep seeing. The scoop is more square with rectangular intakes, and plastic grills that go over the openings. Has anyone seen any pics of a real car with that scoop?
  13. I never leave feedback until I get my item and check the condition. If it's in good shape and I got it in a timely manner, then I'm perfectly happy to leave positive feedback. I've only really had one transaction go bad, and I think that was more my fault for not researching the seller.
  14. Just another workday for me tomorrow. It's my wednesday.
  15. where did that come from? I like!!
  16. bbowser: the six is really nice on this kit. Everything is really nice.
  17. Got one of the 48 chevys posted in under glass. It's a very nice kit. Extremely detailed. I look forward to see what you do with yours.
  18. I think the reason a lot of the "niche" cars are gone now is because none of the domestic car companies have the unlimited budgets they used to. Before the collapse of GM, Ford and Chrysler, you used to see all kinds of crazy concepts. It seems like now all they show is stuff that they can actually produce and make money on (SUV's/crossovers). Can't really blame them, but at the same time you miss the old days.
  19. Have tons of them. As soon as I get the chance, I'll post pictures. Used to have more, but I tried to "grow up" for a while and gave them to my nephew, so those are gone now. kinda like what I did with my car models.
  20. Life in general. Seems like everything gets in the way.
  21. Here's a thought. I've seen where people use the Sharpie markers to do amber turn signals and brake lights. I wonder if using them on chrome would work for that too? Might have to try it on some scrap just to see what happens.
  22. Fantastic work. Are you going to sell this kit?
  23. I use Evian bottle tops and coke bottle tops together. The older Evian tops had a longer lead before the thread started, so they would snap tightly onto a coke bottle cap (pepsi works too, but I drink more Diet Coke). The new ones don't work, unfortunately. They're great for storing mixed paints. They'll keep airtight for weeks.
