  1. This is my first car model since 1992. This kit was a clearance from Hobby Lobby I got for about $8. I hadn't gotten the hang of foil yet, so the trim around the windows is brushed on silver leafing paint. I'm still learning some things, but I'm getting the hang of it as I go along.
  2. My uncle had one in this color. His was a straight six with 3 on the tree. It got "parked" after a while when it started having more problems than he could keep up with. Looking great, keep up the good work.
  3. Looking great. Can't wait to see it with the PE markings. I'm with Gpugh, gotta get one of these.
  4. Gorgeous!! Fantastic detail!!
  5. Looks really good to me. Your paint job looks amazing.
  6. I've got one of these in my stash. I hope it comes out a quarter as good as yours looks. Fantastic work.
  7. My question is: unfinished where? Looks great.
  8. Looks like a fun project. Haven't used the decal kit, but the decal bonder spray works pretty good. The only drawbacks I've run into on printing decals is that you can't do metallics without having an ALPS printer.
  9. Ah, nuts... Oh well. The kit still looks fantastic.
  10. Beautiful job! I love the early Corvettes. Question: where did you get the resin Jag wheels? I'd love to have a set like those for another kit.
  11. Looking great! Are you going to do the top on this one? How about an engine. The work on your Tatra was amazing and I can't wait to see how this turns out. Pure artistry.
  12. Looking really good! I used to drive one of those vans. slant six and 3 on the tree. Ran like a champ!
  13. Gorgeous, looks like you could jump in and drive off.
  14. Hey, is there an email address or website for IMC?
  15. I WANT the Cutlass kit! Glad to see The Jo-Han kits are getting a second chance. It was a shame they fell out of issue in the first place, most of them were outstanding.
  16. Got one of the full detail kits of these. Makes me want to tear into it. Good Job!!
  17. Did my first "carpeted" interior on a Galaxie '48 Chevy Fleetline. Hobby Lobby has some pretty neat colors of embossing powder. I painted the base color then after it dried I used brushed-on Testor's Acryl dullcoat as an adhesive and sprinkled on the powder. It's worth it to pick up one of the little trays that has a pour spout at one end so you can recycle the overflowed powder.
  18. Any and all Jo-Han kits you can do! Especially the unusual 50's and 60's cars. Question, is this the same IMC that produced the "Little Red Wagon" Dodge Pickup and the 1948 Ford convertibles?
  19. Okay, where'd you find the Fleetwood. Nice paint work on that one. Gorgeous.
  20. I use Acryl paints almost exclusively instead of standard enamels and don't have any problems at all. Haven't tried them in the airbrush yet, but the interiors and other components all come out fantastic. I've heard using alcohol to thin them works really well. We'll find out!
  21. Working on one of the Aerosedans right now. So far the fit is beautiful. Hopefully learning new skills pays off on this one.
  22. I need to find one of those. I love Morgans
  23. I usually have good luck with brake fluid. Good ole DOT3 or whatever spec it is now.
