  1. Welcome, Bill, Glad you found us! Enjoy, join in, an stay awhile!!! Your home now!!!!
  2. Andy, THAT is TOO cool!!!!
  3. Don't know Mr Peeples myself, but that IS one heckava model he's got there. Will send prayers his way for a quick recovery (Hospitals ARE a drag!) and hopefully he can get back to that incredible model. Get Well Quick, Bob !!!!
  4. Chuck, your ASKING? if you can do this? WHAT???? Your Count Chuckula!, WHO CAN tell you? Just be like the Nike swoosh, an DO IT!!! Who cares if it wouldn't really run, it'll look good! Oh, and I'm not SURE, but I think the Tony Nancy Rail job, in the Revell two in one dragster kit had a blown Chrysler RB block in it.
  5. Guys, your takeing this TOO seriously. It's a CARTOON, OK, NO REAL ACTORS that TALKED in it were actually seen. They are ALL animated charactors, so THAT makes it an animated movie, just like a cartoon. If everybody felt as some here do, then it MIGHT be different. If you ENJOY a cartoon, GREAT there's NOTHING WRONG with that. But I DON'T watch CARTOONS(Except Popeye) which is MY perogotive to do or not, so I don't. As for my typeing, it can't be THAT bad, because even if I DON'T know how to type properly, I seem to get you guys riled up with my OPINIONS. Which is all they are. MY OPINIONS. For those who can understand, and agree, that's cool. For you CARS passionate type. go see a REAL animation CG done movie it's called "Avitar" That's about as close to a cartoon that I'll get. It is a VERY well done semi animated/CG filmed movie. Oh, and it IS a shame AMT never popped that 49/50 Olds. Just tryin ta keep this thread on track.
  6. I understand your passion over it, after all, it IS about cars. But it IS JUST a cartoon, nothing more, or less. It'll never be a serious adult oriened Motion Picture, it's a CARTOON. But, if you still enjoy cartoons, there's NOTHING wrong with that, I still enjoy old King Features Popeye Cartoons. And Danno, I really don't see the need to emphasize your meanings. I've said repeatedly, that they WERE just MY opinions. We all have them, just like we all have or should have, RESPECT for others opinions. As i do yours.
  7. Yes I have seen it. Wouldn't spend money to GO see it, but it's been on cable and my grandaughter likes it, so yes, i HAVE seen it. I guess it's just me then, because at 57 I don't car too much for cartoons anymore, that's all. If you still enjoy them, that's good, because it would be a VERY boring world if we all thought the same.
  8. CARS is a CARTOON! FOR CHILDREN, it's NOT a type of movie that one would NORMALLY go to see, unless they go with or have kids. I DON'T think any TEENAGERS , the kind that build models, would bother with it . Most of the young men of THAT age preffer tuners an foriegn jobbies.THEY preffer movie like Fast an Furious an those kinds of action car movies. All I was trying to say, is the the new Hudson that Moebius is releaseing is more aimed at US OLDER builders as opposed to children, who's only idea of a Hudson is from a cartoon. Plus, with it's parts count, it'll scare more than a few kids! Just my humble opinion, that's all.
  9. Welcome Back, Eric! Good to see you decided to return to school. A good education is PRICELESS! Glad to hear your gonna start postin again, I liked your take on the "Tuner" genre.
  10. Ian, The DMCC AND the DAAM BOTH support this show at the Auto-Rama, NOT the Auto SHOW, TWO different shows. I worked the show last year, and probably again THIS year. If you come to Feb. meeting, talk to Rick, caz he's the guy who sets up the schedule. But ALL you gotta do is ask, and you can work it too! It's a BLAST AND you get in FREE!!!!!
  11. Dave, Mine is 25th scale. I measured it up with the AMT 52 and other than the wheel base, ALL the parts fit the Olds. It IS A REAL shame they never popped this one in plastic. ALOT more kids know of OLDS than Hudson, that silly movie DIDN'T change ANY KIDS mind of what is cool. I PERSONALLY don't know ANY teens that went to see it, ONLY little kids.
  12. Zoli, I'm so used to your Fire Trucks, I OFTEN wondered what you could do with a car. I've seen a few of your auto builds, but THIS rascal TAKES the cake! I have that old Revell kit, and a few AMT Monzas, but MINE DON'T look like THAT!!! EXCELLENT JOB, my freind!!!!
  13. Chris, if THAT'S your pic, I'll find YOU! Just look for the short fat lil mexican guy wearin the black DMCC tee shirt. As fer you, a guy with gogles SHOULDN'T be TOO hard ta find!!!! ;)
  14. Ertl popped that model as a Die Cast collectable. Mine came as a Buffalo Bills football team car. I stripped it and repainted it in Black with Cragars. It came out very nice. You DO have to fill the slot for the coins,(it's in the trunk lid) but all in all, it DOES make a VERY COOL and unusual model. I found mine at a flea market for about 8 bucks.
  15. Danny, I just got back from Canton,Georgia, And my nephew lives in an old Cottom Mill, that's been converted into apartments. They look JUST LIKE the walls in your dio. The same windows, and bare sandblasted brick walls, Yours looks VERY authentic!!!
  16. It just blows my mind the way guys from outside the U.S. can get such details down SO pat!!!! That is a VERY impressive model, Mike! I'm looking forward to seeing more of you work, PLEASE!!!! :)
  17. COULDA started life as a 58 Buick Roadmaster, My uncle had one, a it WAS a TANK!!!! :D
  18. Jeremy, THAT'S Vaughn Hart! He has TONS of Mopar stuff! I ordered MANY times from Vaughn. He is a TOP quality caster, and has ALOT of oddball Mopar stuff. YES by ALL means check him out! He's a NICE guy on top of all that too!!!! :D
  19. That ol rascal is probably down Argentina way, livin large in some ol Nazi seniors houseing project!
  20. Juergen, that's a sweet lookin Red. It really laid down NICE an smooth! A clear coat will REALLY make it pop! What color is the interior, I never did see a picture of it.
  21. WoW! That's gonna be one COOL lookin rig, there! It's lookin sweet so far, don't stop now! ;)
  22. Bill, The parts are just a scoonch off! The glass interchanges as do the interiors, but the front grille on the hasi kit is just a hairs width to wide. The rear bumpers and taillight assembly are the same way, just that little smidge off. NOTHING you CAN'T fix with a file or emery board. But side by side, you'd think they WERE molded from the same master.
  23. Welcome, Rich. Your gonna like it here!!!
  24. The President's Lincoln Limosine is on permanent display in the Henry Ford Museum, at Greenfeild Village, In Dearborn Michigan. It's been completely restored and shows NO sign of that terrible day. It is a honor to be able to see the car in which he rode in.
  25. Harry, I never built that kit, an have NO idea at all what those little details are for, But I'm GLAD ta see ya back buildin somethin!!!
