  1. Paint detailing on the chassis is great,Mike. it's lookin REAL nice. That colors close to B-5 blue. What color primer did you use?
  2. Juergen, you MADE the outer rims???? Man, your too deep, brother! They look great. In 70 Chevy offered the 402 big block in the Camaro. It was called a 396 but it WAS a 402. It IS a Mark IV block, so it IS bigger'n a 350/400 SMALL block.
  3. Ok, Chuckster jus put the Exacto down and step away. You thinkin up ALL KINDSA CRAZY ways ta use them fenders Chucky, watchu been messin wiff boy???? Watever it is, KEEP IT UP!! these are GREAT tips!!!! ;)
  4. Thanks for the kindness Rod! That's just ONE GREAT reason to be inna club, the guys you get to meet are THE BEST kinda guys to be able to call freinds. Like I consider you, bud.
  5. Jeremy, if ya plan to wire that engine in your 'runner, Kris has some EXQUISITELY BEAUTIFUL distributors an coils. His Accel super coils an MSD 6 ignition boxes even come in the proper colors AND with decals! Like Ol Tony Tiger says, They're GREAT!!! ;)
  6. Ed's Mom passed a few months back, an him being the oldest of his siblings, it's been left to him to manage what's left of her affairs. That, and the fact his wife has been haveing medical problems, bein in an out of the hospital, AND raisein their 10 year old son, has left Ed's plate pretty full. Other than actually goin to his house and PHYSICALLY helping him out, there's not alot we can do. But he KNOWS he's in our thoughts an prayers. Besides, Ed's an old hippy SURVIVOR, and he'll be ok. That's just Ed. :D
  7. This'll be GOOD Juerg!!! That kit has almost ALL the stuff you need to make a GREAT replica! In fact, from the pics you have, that kit will do the job right down to the WHEELS! What size engine is he running in it? You MAY need a Small Block. Let me know, I got PLENTY! Gonna be ANOTHER killer, Juergen, I KNOW it!!!! :D
  8. Wat a co inky dinky, it LOOKS JUST LIKE an Abramhs M-1. An AMERICAN tank! VERY nice job, BTW
  9. Rod, Jeff owns Motor City Resin Casters. Just get ahold of him, and you can have one. I've watched this thing come together over the past few months and Jerry is a MASTER at modifing other kits into his visions. He's ALSO a REALLY cool guy. Proud to have them as members of the DMCC and being able to call them my freinds.
  10. GREAT to see it's finally ready Jeff! Jerry did a HECKAVA job on this one!
  11. Robert, keep sayin it an in about 5 months it WILL happen!!! ;)
  12. I used to leave for work at 5:00(i started at 6) in the morning in my lil truck, put it in 4wheel High, and do about 45/50 for the trip into work on I-94. There were buttheads in Escalades and Expiditions who would PASS me at 70 caz I was goin TOO slow for them. Sure enough, they'd be all sideways up on the berms or down in the ditches as I passed them a little later. Just SLOW DOWN, DON'T use cruse and THINK about the conditions BEFORE you try goin to the store for some stoopid cigarettes, or booze!!!!
  13. Here in Dertoit we get this stuff EVERY year. No big ol full size snowplow is needed. I get around JUST FINE in a 2001 Ford Ranger XLT 4x4. It's done this EVERY year of my life, and i've NEVER been stuck in the snow. Just plan to leave earlier, take your time driveing in it, and you'll be alrite. The BASIC thing is haveing enough COMMON SENSE it know if you SHOULD go out or not! It's just snow, it'll melt.
  14. Sorry, Dan. Yes the toy show is still held every year along wth the Auto Rama. I've gotten some REALLY good deals there, myself. Sorry about the mix up.
  15. Dan, the Downriver Model Car Club,(DMCC) AND the Detroit Area Auto Modelers(DAAM) Sponsor the AUTORAMA model car show. No one else participates, to MY knowledge. AND it's a GREAT show!!!
  16. Darcy, there's only a 64th of an inch or so difference between the scales. Yes, a 25thscale trailer will look OK behind a 24th scale tractor.
  17. Darcy, Revell of Germany makes a nice 80's era Car hauler trailer. AMT used to make a 50's era trailer, but that rascal has been OOP for MANY years. You best bet is E model cars, or the 'Bay.
  18. Juergen, I gave Joy my 69 about 2 years ago now. It's a Sport Coupe, with the halo vynil roof option. It's NOT stock anymore.
  19. Mike, this is just John's finished project FOR THIS WEEK!!! Welcome Mike, John is one of the best, you'll enjoy ALL his stuff. There's ALOT of talent here, all yours for the asking, so ask, caz your home now.
  20. Guys, It's our own, Dr. Cranky's barfday! So let's give the good Dr. a Fine MCM "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" Salute!!!!! Saaaaalooooot!!!!
  21. I got it this morning too. BUT with the track record for model CARS that Trumpeteer has, (Their 24th scale AIRCRAFT are SUPERB!!!)I have my doubts. HOPEFULLY it'll be more workable that their Pontiac, Nova, Monte Carlo kits are. I have hopes for this one, as it has always been a popular little car. Keepin my fingers crossed!
  22. WoW! now that's a REALLY nice clean build! Looks pretty good for being as old as she is!!! The wide whites are cool too.
  23. Cool Juergen, I never saw the interior. Looks REAL clean, Daddy-O! I have a 10 inch Grant wheel in Joy's Camaro. it's like yours, only smaller.
