"I'm just crazy 'bout HaaaRRRRRYYYY ,and Haarrryyyy's crazy......... "Was that enough singin for ya Rick? Songs probly older that you! Heck that songs older than ME!!! Ok showtimes over. If the Evil Dr.Eveil hasn't gotten all my Mojo, I'll give it another shot. I say REAL this time, caz it's just too (in my opinion)ugly to be a model. Looks like one of those cookie cutter cars that Boyd usta build. It's REAL!

Mech. I don't know about Acme resin(Isn't that the co. Wile E.Coyote usta buy from?) But I'm PRETTY sure Steve Kohler ,overt STAR MODELS has one. He's got all kinds of resin cast kits, from different resin casters.Plus he's a REALLY GREAT guy to deal with. Check 'em out, caz I'm SURE I saw one on his website!

Jim, look over in the Model Clubs thread, an look for the latest pics from Pat Redmond from the Dmcc. One of our brother members, he just goes by "H" built one that looks just like yours(the paint at least) and I'm pretty sure he won something with it at this years Detroit Auto-Rama. Your in good company kidd-o caz "H" is GOOD!!!!!

who made a 1/16 scale shelby cobra 427?
george 53 replied to B_rad88's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
KM, Lindburg made a Daytona Coupe EONS ago, in 24th scale. It's pretty basic, but it DOES look like a Daytona when built. It's more of a snap/glue kit,WAY BEFORE snap/glue kits became popular. -
Jon, Black is - white is + the green is ground. The Dimmer should have a Silver screw, a GOLD screw, and a green screw. The white goes to the Silver screw, the Black to the GOLD screw, the ground to the green one. Now, the same layout for the PLUG. Do it the SAME way on the back of the plug recepticle. Get a outlet tester and make SURE you've got the wires wired properly. If you've gotten it WRONG, it'll pop a breaker, if not, it should be powering the plug recepticle. MAKE SURE to test it first with a tester, don't wanna get zapped! This is pretty basic wiring, and if your NOT comfortable with it, Take it to an electrician, cause these things have ALOT of juice goin thru them, that you DON'T want goin thru YOU! If ANY of you guys are Electricians, You might know a better way. We DON'T want to lose a Forum Brother because of an accident. I hope this made sense, and, like I said, if you doubt your ability to do this, PLEASE have a proffesional do it for you, as it will be carrying 110 volts in that rascal,More that enough to let you know you did SOMETHING wrong! Hope this helps.

Ya got THAT right,Bro!

Fuji, in the latest issue of Muscle Car Review,April issue, on page 52,theres a good article on "Chrome" paints. From the pics it shows, the Rustoleum 7718 Chrome paint looks pretty good. It shows to have real nice reflectivity, and I think it looks pretty good to me. I know ACO sells the stuff, caz I've seen it there. Gonna hafta get me some an try it! Hope this helps.

Phil, check out Steve Kohler over at Star Models, I'm pretty sure he's got one(or 2) Hope this helps!

Clay, I don't know if they came that way, but a little wash with some black detailer solution would REALLY make the Studey emblem on the trunklid POP!!! Like I said, I don't know if they CAME that way though. She's Loookeeen Gooood my Brother! Semper Fi!!!!

Dave, THANKS SO MUCH for posting it again! THIS IS TRULY a work of ART! You KNOW how I feel about this model, if only I could achieve such heights of perfection. I know it's just your way of doing things, the sense of necessity to be a prefectionist. But WE are truly the lucky ones to have a builder of your abilities in our family. I've been able, thank God, to meet some of my heroes, MR.BIGGS,and Bill Geary, but I have yet to meet you. If I could only have 1 Billionth of your abilities, I'd be one happy camper. I feel fortunate to be able to call you MY friend! I know I may sound like a 1 man fan club, but I DON'T think I'm the ONLY member! This fellas, is the kind of craftsmanship we should all strive for.Even if we don't achieve it, what we learn on the journey can ONLY be benificial to our skills! Thanks again for being my friend and for those BEAUTIFUL pictures of what, in my humble opinion, is to me the MOST BEAUTIFUL model car I have EVER seen! YOU are truly an artist, and a GREAT all around individual of few equals. Thank you my friend! -
Lee, don't even worry about accuracy, it LOOKS good, an your happy with it, so THAT'S ALL that counts! Good lookin build Kidd-O!Nice job.

Guys, where was the Mustang parked? When I got there it was already dark, an I never saw it! Great pics again, Pat.Thanks! -
Fuji, that's the basic idea, hence the title, Real or Model.Harry can photo-shop with the BEST of them, an once inna while he'll throw in a ringer an get quite a few guys to scratch there heads. I was doin OK till the evil Dr.Eveil STOLE MY MOJO! But, theres always next week!
-
Davearino,Daddy-O your like Mr Biggs, even your junk is better'n some guys models(namely MINE) So your stuff you show is ALWAYS killer! These newbies have yet ta see the Hollywood, Which to me is more of a work of art than a model. The cabin speedster is too cool too I for one, am ALWAYS happy to see your models, finished or not.Your truly an insperation to guys like me! Ahhhh, maybe someday I'll be.......Nahhh, not likely, so I'm just content to look an drool over yours!
-
Jon, if it hasn't "gassed out" it is. What was the humidity when you painted it? If you got a Dehydrator, stick it in there an it'll dry in a coupla hours. If not, maybe you could put it under a lamp, the heat may help it to dry faster. Just a suggestion, but if you have a display case for 24th/25th models, put it under the lid, an set it in a sunny window,or outside. But check it every once inna while, cas you don't want it to melt or warp!.

That "Horse Collar" grille ALWAYS thru me off, but all in all, it DID have some VERY nice lines to it. I liked it,and my Big Brudder had a Black 59 Corsair. It was cool lookin too. Yours came out REAL nice! Great build!

I'm on it Bro, an like the movie said,"There WILL be blood"!(probly mine again!) Now get some rest!
