  1. Now THAT finally MAKES SENSE!!!!!
  2. 21.95???!!! Wow it sure seems like Revell has forgotten about the younger builders with the price increases.I myself don't care, I'll keep on buyin , but these younger kids will have to get their parents to buy their kits for them.I can bet money ALOT of woulda been modelers won't get into the hobby simply because they can't afford them! Snap kits or not if a kid ain't got the money NO amount of "beginner"kits will help.21.95, yeeeesh,Pretty soon ONLY us old farts will be able to afford em!
  3. Ok Harry, After seein the reflection on the floor, SOMEone musta used a coupla GALLONS of Future to get that shine! The background is kinda weird to me to be full size, sooooooo......I'm goin with REALLY NICE built MODEL!
  4. Nice build,62! Man I don't remember that color beein so screemin green! Makes ya wonder WHY they called it SUB-lime!Color aside, it came out real nice.I like it!

  7. Ok fellas, ANOTHER NEWS FLASH!!!!! It's the ######'NS BARFDAY!!!! Yeah , I know, he's so ol ya wooda thunk hes a mummy by now. But NOOOOOO, he's STILL kickin! Maybe not lookin like a spring chicken anymore(more like a FRIED chicken?) But He's STILL buildin, and THATS what counts! Lets hope he ain't wanted in Heaven fer a LOOOOONG time, caz, personally I LIKE to see im coin crazy tryin to build them little itty bitty models! Happy Barfday ######'n, Have a GREAT ONE, an go see my ol fren Capt'n Morgan! You'd like im, he's pretty SPICEY too!!!
  8. E-Man, Was the front clip already painted when it broke? Just a suggestion, but, if you use liquid glue, put just a touch on each side of the break, let it set for just a sec, then push the two pieces together, so the glue kinda oozes out along the crack. set it aside to let it cure and when it does, hit it with a sandingstick. the oozed glue will act as a filler and the crack should disapear. The car came out good tho and ANYTHING with a HEMI is COOL!!!!
  9. Dave, some guy in Flahdu(i think) is doin somethin called a "57,58,59 Chev along the same lines in 1/1.Its got a 57 front end, a 58 midsection and 59 rear end on a Vette chassis. Looks KINDA ok, but personally it's just too busy for me.I like yours better.(But, then again, I AM still tryin ta get ya to adopt me. I already made room for the Hollywood on top a my TV) But I REALLY DO like yours better!

  12. Well Barbo, "Happy Friendship Day" to you too.Although, a Firm belief in a "Higher Power"(God, for me) Seems to make EVERY day a happy friendship day! I hope your book does well, as it covers a subject so simple,AND necessary in todays world! Good luck!
  13. Welcome to the best model car website in existance,SR. You sure picked a great kit to use to intro yourself! Your gonna love it! Ask ALOT of questions, post ALOT of pics an enjoy the company of LOTS of people who LOVE models, just like yourself!!!!
  14. Larry, I don't know if anyone actually casts this hood in resin or vac-formed, but I made one useing a 67 vette hoodscoop and the end of an plastic "el cheepo" ink pen.I just kept whitlin away at the pointy end till it fit into the opening of the scoop, and laid it on the hood till it looked right. It wasn't hard at all.
  15. Eric, cut out the fenderwells an put a reversed scoop over the front tires ala Charger Daytona. If the tires are too wide, run the scoops into the hood. Just a thought.
  16. ######'n I'n here ta help in any way, anta pick up da peices wats left! If'n dis don blow yer jug, nuttin will! I jus wanna see for myself ifn you can get small enuff to drive that rascal! A coupla more shrooms an i'm gessin it won't be a problem.YOU GO!,######'n!!!!!

Is it safe? is it Biodegradable? is it yadda yadda yadda? who knows the gov't. might use it to replace WATERBOARDING! It LOOKS scary enough to get some people to talk! All those hoses an all.Looks like one of them I.V. execution thingies! Keep this one under your hat!
  19. Your the fella who built the green Volksie on this months MC cover? Man is THAT lil bug ever cool!!!! It really shows ALOT of thought and "off the wall" thinkin! Just a GREAT lil model! I LOVE it!!!
  20. Thanks for clearin that up for me Marcos, I do appericiate it!
  21. Duhhhhh, Hey guys , it's no reason to leave, after all, it STILL is a model car forum. The Man in charge probly just got tired of beein hasseled cuz some folks wouldn't take the hint and keep it model related. Whats politics an religion got to do with ANYTHING we do here? Unless someone wants to build the Pope Mobile or somethin. Seems like some guys PURPOSELY started threads to start ######! I for one am glad the political B/S is gone. I din't see ANYTHING about religion till that helo guy popped up. But I thought THAT ###### WAS uncalled for. Just my humble opinion.
  22. Probly jus the heat Van, It does that to me too when I'm down there.(but it's a DRY heat.Heat is heat, hot is hot!!!)

  24. WoW James, Ive SEEN that car in real life! An old neighbors daughter owned one, right down to the stripes and interior color!I think a 400 was the biggest engine you could get in 74. Never thought it was much, since it wasn't an R/T or such, But it was a nice lookin car. Yours is too!, Really good build!!!
  25. ######'n ONLY if you been sniffin da junk fer a COUPLA HOURS! I wuz thinkin more like Ambroid Pro Weld. Its da stuff I use, an It works purtty good.JUS DON'T DRINK IT!!! It'll leave ya wit a HELLAVA hangover!!!!(an sum NASTY breath!)
