  1. Geeze, I remember when you could buy that rascal out of a magazine for about a hunnert bucks! They were advertised at that price to get you to join a modelers club backed by Pocher I believe. You bought it, and sent pictures in and you'd get it put in their magazine and they even offered to buy it back from you! I still have a few 1/8 scale stuff that I'll never build, but no Pocher kits unfortunately! Tear that rascal UP, Rom!! It coulda dun ALOT worse than to have a Car Nut like YOU get their hands on it!!! You GO Bro!!!!
  2. WoW! The GREATS are really leavein us! Cotton Owens was a superstar in REAL Nascar raceing, LOOOOOONG before the cookie cutter cars of today! Rest In Peace Cotton, you've EARNED it!!!
  3. Besides, this was more fun, wasn't it?! GREAT conversion!
  4. Bob, when you go to the length that you have, to scratch build most of the chassis, I'd just go head an build the rear too. Just do it like the real guys do. Use the Dana out of the Revell Hemi Dart, Or the 9'in out of one of the Ford drag cars, you kinda get my drift? That way you can do it the way you want it. But if your doin a 1:1 car, you'll kinda need to copy it's suspension to be accurate, don'tcha think?
  5. WoW! That looks like it took a while JUST to load!!! What scale is that? It came out VERY nice!!!
  6. Eric, DMCC just asks that you ENJOY models, you DON'T have to bring one to every meeting! Just show UP brother! Once your there, the guys'll do the rest! were a VERY laid back club, NOBODY forces ANYTHING on you, you join and just blend in . I didn't used to bring stuff in, but now, yeah, I bring models I'm workin on and even do conversins for masters for some well known resin casters, so, if you just show up, you'll be welcomed with open arms! Just show up Bro, that's ALL you gotta do!!!!
  7. Not my speed(Never liked Deal's wheels type of models) but I CANNOT deny it's GREAT trip of the imagination! Betcha there's nobody that'll race this one!!! Too cool! GREAT execution, i actually think it woulda sold if it had been a regular model co's product!!!
  8. Sorry, Eric, I see now that it's a Hendricks body. It really came out nice!
  9. Who cast this body? It came out GREAT!!!! VERY nice!
  10. Never saw an MPC kit of this car. What scale is it? I have a couple of the old IMC kits, because the Lola's are my FAVORITE race cars of all!!! Especially the coupes! I have a very rare coupe from R&D Uniques that was ALOT easier to build than the old IMC Spyder kits, but it looks JUST as nice when finished! You did a rightious job on that little Lola, and remember, "Whatever Lola WANTS.....
  11. Just depends on ones version of Utopia, Kevin. I'm pretty happy in my world and it suits me just fine. But thank you for the explination, it is appericiated.
  12. Marty, what your describeing is the "Golden Rule" If you were raised PROPERLY that should just be a given. WHAT it has to do with haveing every model you ever wished for is beyond me. Just treat folks the way YOU'D like to be treated. Simple enough, don'tcha think?
  13. Actually saw this on FB,Chuck! Glad I found it here. It'll be the first non rusted up car I've seen from you,Daddy-O. Hope it's not the last!
  14. Thanks Harold, I honestly didn't know that.(I'm not really a Ford guy )
  15. Jeff Ballard of Motor City Resins (part of DRAG) has a 72 Ranchero that's a GREAT trans kit. MAYBE you could use the body from his and adapt the 71 Torino kit's front end to it. Might be worth a try.
  16. Nick, unless he's given them to himself, I'd venture to say he doesn't have any. I noticed I'mma zero again, an that feels rather normal for me. I like bein lo-key!
  17. WoW! I'm gonna be a ZERO again? Yeeesh, I was feelin like a somebody for a minute there! Oh, I got it now, we startin OVER! Ok that's cool, I can deal with bein a Zero again.
  18. Great advise from someone who's been there!!!!
  19. When I buy off of Evil bay, i NEVER leave feedback UNTIL i get my item and i am happy that it was as advertised. I WILL NOT leave feedback UNTIL i've gotten my item, no matter what!!!!
  20. VERY nice Build,John. The paint fade is PERFECT!!! It came out GREAT!!!!
  21. Really, it depends on HOW many people are on your forum.I mod a forum where there are a buncha nuts and we all get along GREAT! there's only 26 of us there and it's small enough where we are ALL freinds, and I don't EVER have to pull rank, or threaten or make remarks that are uncalled for. This place is TOO big to have attitudes towards people, regardless of WHO you are. The nasty little PM's are TOTALLY uncalled for. If you CAN'T handle it, there's NO NEED to have the job. Mods here can't afford to have attitudes, it brings the WHOLE forum down. An that's the truth!
  22. See wat happens wen you ain't around Big Brother?? jus goes ta show we NEED you here,Bro, we NEED you here!!
  23. I totally agree Mike, Personal attitutes should be left at the door if it interferes with the proper functioning of the forum, so should personal hang ups.Moderators NEED to be impartial.
  24. Marty, I have their 67 Buick Skylark and it'sa pretty well done trans kit. There were no bubbles or excess flash, the parts from an old 66 Buick Skylark promo fit like a glove, and for what it's worth, I'm gonna order their 66 Dodge Dart next. The castings are very well done. HTH.
