WAt, so they smooshed it a little. Still looks like a bug to me. I'd by a volkswahen, their quality id pretty good from what i'm told. That or a BMW are the only foriegn cars i'd think of buyin. too much an ol school guy. I've driven american all my life, 'cept for when i traded for a 77 super beetle. Good car, but the heater didn't work caz the floor rusted thru!

Cool, Harry. You get me with the REAL ones, I don't know where you come up with them, but these models, with the way you can mess with the backgrounds an stuff, you can catch me occasionally! I got this one though.

Jim, love the color! Always have liked that shade of green. I had a 69 Super B in that color. Jim, you know i always enjoy your builds, an this one is no less than what i'd expect from your bench. But i think the headlights are too bold. They should lay back into the grille a little farther. OR better yet, just lose 'em an put the lights BEHIND the grille bars. These are just my opinions, an don't mean squat, caz it did come out real nice. (i'd still lose the lights though. )

Jose, show 'im all tha pics so he can see how to do it! This is one of THE nicest movie cars I have ever seen done. I just LOVE this build! -
Did you get a clear canopy for it? I bought this same kit about 5 or 6 years ago, but it didn't come with the clear windscreen for the Canopy cover. Did you make yours too, or did it come with one? Either way, Yours came out VERY nicely! Great paint job too!

Happy Fathers Day, Pop! Wish I could still hug you, but the day will come when we are together again. Till then, I STILL love you with ALL my heart. -
WOW,Bruce, did that come out NICE!!!!!! Other than the slight mis-alignmemt of the bed slightly throws off all those long lines! The cab conversion is GREAT! The front end came out nice too! Like the way it flips like the real thing! All in all, you did a FANTASTIC job, I like it ALOT!!!!

Model Shops in Rome?
george 53 replied to W-409's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I'm with ya on that one,Jim. But it seems that the way we go from state to state, Euro guys go country to country.I don't think anything of passing the U.S Air Force museum passing Dayton(I've been there 3 times now) on 75 south, but THEY might think it was a vacation point. Been to the Alamo quite a few times. I don't go anymore, I've seen/been there. Maybe those guys feel the same about the Eiffel Tower, or the Vatican, or even the beach at Normandy. They're THERE, they can see them anytime they want. We gotta cross an ocean to get there, much less see them. Greenfeild Village/ Henry Ford Museum is 5 minutes from my house, but I've been there a coupla times now, and I only go now when i take guests sightseeing. Motown is down on Grand Blvd, an I used to pass it all the time when i worked in that area. Just another house on the Blvd. to me. Maybe that's how they feel about it too. Just sayin.... -

Is it real or CG?
george 53 replied to sjordan2's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Harry, we take what we see as reality, but we can be fooled. Heck you do it to us every other week!!! . Those walls could have been made of foam, an it could have taken 1,000 shoots to film then spliced together to see what we see. Not that it is real, I too doubt ANYONE could pull off a stunt like that, but it does look cool as heck! Wonder how many goofs will try to see if THEY can drive like that! -
MINISTYLE 1970 Impala window Coach/Hearse
george 53 replied to David@MinidreamsInc.'s topic in Model Cars
BEAUTIFUL Job,Dave!!! I remember up north in Michigan where the smaller towns that didn't have really big populations, had custom conversions like yours as hearses. I've seen Chevy's Buicks Pontiacs and Oldsmobiles converted to Hearse/Ambulances in those little towns. It wasn't practical for them to buy Cadillac, or Lincoln hearses. Yours came out GREAT! -
Rich, those are Engine Breather caps, or Valve cover breathers. They vent gasses from the engine.
