  1. Tony, that kit is NOT quite as bad as you might've heard. Just take your time, and PRE fit everything!!! The Roof folding mechanisms are kinda fiddley, but not that bad, really. I've seen these kits built up to show standards and quality, and EVERY time I asked "how did it build up" I was told the same thing, "Oh it's not too bad, JUST TAKE YOUR TIME"! So, with that, I took my time, an it came out real nice. Nothing you couldn't do too.
  2. They still make them now! I have a 1/24th 55 Chrysler C300 Die Cast that came from Motor Max, that is sold in grey primer for the builder to paint. It is a complete (other than paint)model car kit, only in metal. I'm just waitin for the Mobeus kit, in PLASTIC and in 1/25th scale. :D
  3. If you OWN the house Chuck, then yes. If NOT, then no. Unless your renting to own. :D
  4. And Thank YOU Paul, for haveing a wife who'll put up with yer crazy self!!!!! Besides, I LIKE her!
  5. Does this come with a REAL interior or is it gutted out like the DoH Charger? I mean like with a FULL tub or platform style of interior bucket? The DoH Charger I had was more like a nascar racer than the Dukes 69 Charger!!!!
  6. Hey now, in some places a tractor IS a car!!!!
  7. Ya know, I ALWAYS liked the idea and looks of this particular aircraft. It makes you wonder what it could've done if they had installed the Merlin/Packard supercharged engne in it. VERY nice models Lee. I used to built exclusively in 1/48th scale. Yeah, Imma scale biggot in airplanes too.
  8. Mike-O, your such a foo.......
  9. Shelle, or Darrin, that looks to be an original 67 Camaro Pace car Promo. If it IS, I'd imagine it would be rather valuable.
  10. Rest In Peace, Bill. the Goldenrod is on permanent display at the Henry Ford Museum, along with quite a few more historical hot rods. It is BIG! Or should I say long! It is a beautiful car.
  11. Why, Virge, I think that's TRUE!!!!! Unfortunatly, I'm not a Kona DRINKER!!! ;)
  12. Whoa!!! Pete, I NEVER even noticed your not even from here!!!! You guys over in Europe REALLY got you stuff TOGETHER! Ok, so that explains your non familiarity with Chevy's. At least OUR chevy's. It's really only constructive critism caz your building skills are VERY good.
  13. Pete, looking back at your in process pics, the firewall pic you show, that rectangular box on the right houses the heater core and HVAC components. The hoses for the core should be comming out of the left edge of that box. and go to their proper fittings on the engine. Don't mean to be so picky, but after all this work, I just feel it should be done right.Your doin a GREAT job,Pete, this is just MY means nuthin opinion. Please don't be offended.
  14. Pete, not to be picky, cause it IS comming out nice, But WHY are your heater hoses comming out from the center of the firewall? ALL modern Chevy's have the heater core located on the left side of the firewall, (as you look at the engine). Yours seems to be off set to the right of the engine. No big thing, but your reference photo's should have shown you this. Like I said, it IS comming out nice, but that stood right out to me. Maybe just cause Im a Chevy guy. Your comming along just fine!
  15. And HERE, That's Gregg, tha BIG Kahuna!!! ;)
  16. I would guess in the early 70's. My wife worked at K-Mart when we first married, in 72, and she made mention of how the kids couldn't (or so she thought) Open the kits anymore to steal parts. This was in 1972 so I would think that was when they first started wrapping them. Before that, they were taped shut with either white tape or clear tape. Hope this helps.
  17. Welcome Chip! You'll find ALOT of interesting cars to see here, caz we got ALL kindsa builders here! Feel free to post your builds anytime, we're ALL modelers here!!!!
  18. Hey, kidd-o, ya better let ME in on the answer, or I'll tell everybody you cheated!!!!!!!
  19. Dave a bit that small sure doesn't need much pressure to break. I usually just set it on the part an start twisting it. A new sharp drillbit will usually pull itself thru the plastic with very LITTLE pressure. Hope this helps.
  20. Moreso, how many OTHER countries are flying AMERICAN aircraft in THEIR air forces.
  21. Beautiful save! That was just a pretty car anyways, but the Black on White REALLY makes it pop! REAL nice job!
  22. Not only is he a master scratchbuilder, he's flat out a master MODELER! THIS is a REAL scale auto replicator,NOT just a modeler!!!!!!

  24. Ed, I JUST got 158. If you HAVEN'T recieved 157 yet, just get a hold of the nice lady at Bell, and she will send you a NEW one, but ya GOTTA do it soon(like NOW) or they won't be able to send one. It'll become a back issue, an they MIGHT charge for it! I don't know, as I call as soon as I I find out the LATEST issue is out! This issue came in PERFECT condition, with NO wrinkles, tears or folds in it!!! Maybe the P.O. is listening!
  25. It was the Ramchargers Hauler. It was also sold alone, without the Ramchargers rail. This is from the 60's or VERY early 70's.
