  1. Smokey, DO NOT mess with R&R till you have a FEW resin kits under your belt. His kits ARE NOT for beginners. Your best bet IS Perry's. His Malibu wagon is a VERY nice kit.
  2. I LIKE it! Cool ride,Mister!!!!
  3. Played it in the Cave. Got 85% Them dang Willy's/Kaisers messed me up! Good game, Mike-O!

  7. Dang, Harry, Your GOOD! I gotta go with REAL on this one. HOPE I'm right. :D
  8. Ahhhhh haaaa, you KNOW you just wanted a reason to get into this! This just gives you an excuse to start it sooner!! Glad to see it too! I LIKE your style of building. Old school but still updated. Nice. Now get that rascal goin GOOD!!!!
  9. Actually,Jon, the Vin tells the Make, Model,(Body series) options, paint code, an sequential build number(It's assembly number on the line)of a vehicle. The Engine number does not specify WHICH engine it is. as in it BEING a Chevy or Buick motor. THAT'S one of the ways GM got around the lawsuits in 77 when GM started it's "Corporate Engnies" bull. My buddy ordered a new 77 Cutlass Vista Cruiser and it came with a Chevy 350 in it, NOT an Olds! Didn't believe it till I saw it once while at lunch. Man was he PO'd! Said if he WANTED a Chevy motor, He's a BOUGHT a Chevy! Can't say I blame him.
  10. Corvair my BUTT!!! I gotta Porsche flat eight waitin on that bad boy!!! I got the old Revell buggy a while back from Shane, and I've been wantin to get at it, but I got two old buggies to experiment on before i try it on a NEW kit. Lookin forward to seein the ol buggy again. Oh, and the picture on the cover on the box, was taken from an old Hot Rod magazine cover! :D
  11. Dean comes to EVERY show we have at Macomb County, twice a year! Never been to his shop, but he DOES have an AMAZEING array of kits to choose from. If he can bring what he does to the shows, his SHOP must be a modelers gold mine! (And he's a nice guy to boot!!!!) :D
  12. ALWAYS enjoy the way the Euro guys can do US almost BETTER'n WE can do US!!!!!! :D GREAT pics, it mustave been a GREAT show!!!!
  13. Well Hey Donnie, it DOES make sense. Most Fords ARE Garbage trucks!!!!! HAAAAA Haaaa, I'm sorry, MY Bad, I just couldn't leave that one go!!!!!, they DO make some nice ol tymie Hot Rods!!!!! :D
  14. I like this car so much, i have an original, a promo, and TWO resin cast bodies, one from the Modelhaus, AND one from Porkies(now sold by Kenny, overt Bandit Models) and BOTH my resin kits are JUST as nice as the ORIGINAL promo! Don't know about the Trumpeter kit. I'll probably buy one to convert to my Dad's little Falcon Wagon work car. Someone mentioned a Ranchero??? I might wait for that to come out, I'd be easier to convert. :D
  15. Gordon, you MAY want to try Steve Kohler over at Star Models. i THINK he may carry an R&R version of that car. I just don't quite remeber if it was the Princess or not. I THINK it is. Hope this helps.
  16. Pat, back in the day, When Richard left Nascar for a bit, he campaigned that 65 Barracuda. It broke once ,at a Drag meet, killing somebody. He quit Drag Raceing after that, an went back to Nascar.
  17. Junior. As in son.The 43 was always Richard Petty's Number. hence the Jr. But I don't know why Tony Nancy's rail is a Jr.
  18. It's in tha mail!!!! :D
  19. CAZ i SAID i waz right!!!! Yeeesh!!!!! :D
  20. Jean Claude your truck is AMAZEING!!!! Your GREAT integration of two totally different kits is outstanding! Plus the paint it pretty radical too. It came out GREAT!!!! You Euro guys ALWAYS suprise me with how WELL you guys have our cars down!!!!! GREAT JOB!!!!!!!
  21. Stump, it's been SOOOOOOO long since you posted ANYTHING(How long HAS it been,Johnny????) That even if it takes a YEAR to finish this, it'll be worth it! I KNOW livein in PARADISE can pull you away from the bench occasionally, but ya DO have a BUNCHA model hungry homies that WANT to see your work. LIKE ME!!!! hows the Dat commin along? ANYTHING you show is ALWAYS worth the wait,my freind!!!! :D
  22. Looks GOOD, Dan. Is it the Monogram 1/48th kit? I used to build 48th scale all the time! REALLY enjoyed the Monogram kits! Now trumpeter and a few others make 24th,25th scale aircraft kits that are just superb. Flying has always been my first love, and i LOVE anything aeronatical, got quite a few 24/25th aircraft and Helo's. Great job,Dan, it came out REAL nice.
  23. Jeeze Don, I got tons of stuff just accumulated from years of building. That's how most of us older guys did it. But you could look on the Bay, or Craigs list to see if guys are selling their stashes. To be honest with you, THAT'S probably your best bet.
  24. No i don't Mike-O, it's just a game!!!! But i WAS right! TOO easy, Harry. Now im waitin on my ROM!!!!
  25. To be honest with ya Ed, there ain't no White Castles in that part of Dearborn. Oh wait, there IS one on Telegraph, on the left, as ya goin towards Michigan Ave. Bob lives near a Jet's Pizzaria, IF i remember correctly.
