  1. Mike, IF I remember CORRECTLY, (which IS hard for me) the 68 RR had a small SQUARE area the incluced BOTH scoops and thats it. The painted area was only large enough to cover BOTH scoops, from side to side, and only the length of the scoops. The TWIN flat black hoodstripes from windsheild to front hood edge didn't come along till the 69 RR. Soooo, just tape off a squre that includes both scoops, from side to side, an from the front of the scoops to the rear of them and you'll be good to go. Not a hard trick to do at all. HOPE this helps. ;)
  2. I've never done it like that,Gus, but I can't see ANY reason why you couldn't. Just be REALLY careful that you don't scratch your glass. Should be just the same though. REMEMBER to use a NEW exacto blade! ;)
  3. The first burgandy one, an the Blue flamed out one( I LOVE flames) are my faves!!! Nice to see a REAL van again, Im gettin TIRED of the Momma runners excuse for vans!
  4. NICE conversion, Daddy-O! i always liked the 61 Olds. I had a cousin who had one, NICE BIG car!!! Hope to see this rascal all finished up!
  5. Lee, check out Alan Raab, of Ma's Resins. He has one on his site, but I'm NOT sure if it's ready to ship. but he DOES have one in his catalog. Hope this helps.
  6. Mike, those parts were included from the Pro Stock release of that kit. They're the same parts that came in the 70 Super B Pro street kit. :D
  7. I got a Tamiya paint stand from Squadron models for about 21 bucks. GREAT investment!
  8. Steve, if you remove the console, REMEMBER to add the shifter hump to the left side of the trans hump. Chryslers used TWO DIFFERENT floor pans. A regular one for Automatics, and the bulged one (For shifter clearance) for the manual shift cars. i converted the 71 Charger to a 4 spd by uesing the console from the old AAR Cuda from Monogram. and the 4 spd from the AMT 70 Super B kit. It wasn't hard to do at all.
  9. THANKS! and YES it WAS quick.
  10. Nice, Steve, but WHO'S resin is it? Haven't heard of a 25th scale Cuda. Most kits are based on the Revellogram kit. Yes, they ARE EXPENSIVE IF you can find one! I paid OVER a hundred bucks for my mint kit! I also have a mint 71 , that cost JUST as much. A resin alternative would be GREAT!!!!
  11. Terry, 10 years is a LONG time ago. I had a rotator cuff operated on almost 10/12 years ago, I was left with a 5 inch scar on my shoulder. in 07 I had the other shoulder done, for THE SAME thing, and this time, i'm left with 3 3/4 inch scars. Technology is advanceing SO fast, you should be up and around in NO time!! Good Luck my freind, and I WILL be praying for you!
  12. GREAT save Rob. I KNOW that little ride appericiates it!! Nuthin like a nice NEW coat a paint ta make a ride feel FINE!!!!! ;) (oh an I KNOW it took MORE than just a coat of paint to bring it back!)
  13. ANOTHER beauty from your fertile imagination,Peter! I like it, although the grille looks more"Bugatti-ish" than Chrysler, but who knows, they just MAY change their grille design by 2016!!!! GREAT lookin ride!!! ;)
  14. Sorry to anyone who feels that my telling the truth was bashing. I DID say it WAS MY personal opinion. And AS MANY times as this thread has arisin it should be common knowledge about this particular vendor. I NEVER said NOT to deal with him, I NEVER lied about the slow quality of his deliveries, and after seeing an expierienceing REALLY GOOD service by mostly all of the other resin casters I have dealt with, I don't understand why telling the TRUTH is considered bashing. Other than AFX Resins you never hear very many complaints about our casters here. Being a freind who does masters for a caster MAY get someone better service, but it DOES NOT give one an excuse to take ones time to service paying customers, or refuse to answer corrospondence. And THAT seems to be the major complaint. I NEVER said anyone was getting ripped off. My comment was not a bash in my opinion. it was the TRUTH. If i was LYING anywhere, WHERE did I lie????
  15. Well, with WELL over 6,000 members here, not EVERYBODY is gonna like the way things are here. That particular thread HAS been DONE TO DEATH. IF you WANT to deal with said company, AFTER ALL the negative things you've heard, well then, you WERE warned. There is NEVER an excuse for lousy service, NO MATTER WHAT is being sold. This thread has lived in other threads here too, so it's no longer any surprise to us. OR at least it SHOULDN'T be. The lame excuses are JUST THAT, LAME . If you deal with LAME merchandisers, then you GET what you asked for. The wait for items ordered should ALWAYS be a short one IF one WANTS their buisness to prosper. The shame of it is, that it's NOT gonna get better, cause THAT is HOW this particular individual RUNS his buisness. As Ray Parsons says, "If ya DON'T like how I do buisness, SHOP SOMEWHERE ELSE!. No TRUER words were ever spoken. Just let it go, and move on. Hope a lesson was learned.Sorry it cost you. HOPEFULLY you'll get your parts soon. BUT I have NO DOUBT that you WILL GET THEM. Just a shame you've been treated as you were, NOT a good way to keep or get customers. Again, this is ONLY MY opinion on this subject. you will have to draw your own conclusion.
  16. Johnny, that was called the Pinto Cruzin Van. I got one . I traded the other one to one of our Forum Brothers.
  17. Yup, it IS the old MPC Pro stock kit, Motown Missle!
  18. Yup, you gotta a pretty good deal. They USUALLY go for a good bit NORTH of 50 bucks!
  19. Craig, my Godson had an operation like that when he was just born too. He came out with no problems, and he's 16 now. Your baby will be in my prayers too! God Bless you, AND your family.
  20. VERY good move on our moderators part, if you ask me. He allowed the complaint to air, the complainee GOT his response as needed, and it was closed. good judgement call in my opinion. Good job done, Harry!
  21. GET IT!!! It's a GREAT kit, very detailed and well designed! It's also a VERY accurate kit. Don't worry, you'll like it!!!
  22. You goin into the larger scales now,Bro? Been a while since ya posted an we STILL waitin ta see wats been goin on with that 240 Z you shrunk. Wats up with it? Glad ta see ya back Greg, even if it IS inna larger scale!!!
  23. Harry, THAT was MEAN!!!! It falls under the catagory of things you CAN'T UNSEE!!!!!!!!! Curse you Harry!!!!
  24. I've heard THAT too. They call 'em DONKS caz the Impala reminds one of a Donkey. That's what I've been told at least. Don't care for 'em either way.
  25. Doug, My brother in law worked for American SunRoof Co. back in the late 70's and they were considered CONVERSIONS by the factory. AFTER they leave the plant they become the property of the dealership that ordered them. THAT dealership sent the cars to be converted to ASC. They were located in the city of Southgate Mich, the next city over to me. I would imagine they were still under the factory warrantee, for the mechanicals but as far as covering rust out or electrical and structual problems the factory warrantee would be void. Are they rare? Those lots used to be LOADED with cars! You could see them from I-75, and it EASILY covered a few ACRES! So I don't REALLY think you could call them rare. If they were limited editions, well, THAT is a different matter i would believe. Hope this helps.
