  1. Got 158 today! GREAT issue! Jairus REALLY came thru with some picsof how to do the Mobeus Hornet. That custom one was the MOOK! I also enjoyed the reveiw of Motor City's 67 Comet 202. I got one of those last year an man it's NICE! That's all I've read so far, but gimme some time in the "library" and I'm sure I'll find more to like!!!!
  2. Cool! It was the INSIDE of the passenger front wheel that convinced me.
  3. Ok so HOW do you use it? Do you spray it on? Brush it on? or just dip it in the Future? I've never used it, except on our kitchen floor, and it does seem rather runny. Can someone let me know just HOW you guys apply it?
  4. Right now on Emodelcars, our own website, there are three of them for sale by Kustomkat1 at 5 bucks apiece! You have but to ask, and it's right close to home! Hope this helps.
  5. Yeeesh! THAT is just pure Heaven! Most of us get corners, some of us get a small room, YOU got a WHOLE HOUSE!!!! HOW COOL is THAT!!!!!!!1

  7. Wel Juerg, this one was a bit in comming, I remember when you started it! But the wait was worth it! It looks GREAT! Ron has a great idea there, display it with the car on cruise nites! The cars reflection in the drivers side door mirror is too cool! This one is PERFECT!!!!
  8. Nope Chuck, the color IS nice, but nope, that front end is just too homely to call anything but ugly. Pretty colors though. Nice wheels too! All in all an ugly kid with nice clothes on!!! :D :D

  13. so the employee's stole the info? or were their systems hacked by outsiders? Yeeesh, Micheal's, whooda thunkit?
  14. Justin, NEVER spray a laquer OVER an enamel. it WILL ruin the paint. You CAN spray ENAMEL over laquer but not vise versa. It has to do with chemicals in the paints not being compatable or something like that. One of the guys'll know. Guys?
  15. The booties are a GREAT idea/tip !!!!! I have ALOT of old 48'th scale people that are going to become crippled. Poor guys, but GREAT idea Tommy, I was gettin tired of the dice. THANKS!!!!!
  16. Ok, just MY two cents, because I DID have a little something to do with the last hubub that happened. I made a remark about the subject at hand. It was replied to by an individual who stated that my remarks were directed at HIM. I do NOT know this person, but I HAD been told about the things said on the chat room. I have been told the "usual" troublemakers LIKE to start things. I DON'T know EXACTLY who they were, as I DON'T use the chatroom. But this person who evidently can read minds, said I WAS reffering to TO HIM,(which I wasn't) HE attacked me, with words that SOUNDED to ME like he KNEW i was reffering to him. I was NOT, but some folks make decisions NOT knowing the results. I WAS contacted by the OWNER of this forum, and agreed to do as he pleased, it IS HIS forum after all, i just want to get along and play nice with my freinds. I KNOW you are NOT all my freinds, but those that I AM sure of, make the rest inconsiquential. This is now one of those Zombie threads that Kevin mentioned, and I'll not reply again. But I wanted you all to know it was NEVER intentional. IF folks got bad attitudes about things that go on in here, it's not MY problem, I'm only here for my freinds and the models, been here well over 4 years now, an I ain't goin ANYWHERE. And I TRY to help. Hope I have,a little, at least.
  17. Well Praise God your both OK!!! Man THAT musta beena rush to see THAT!!! Our Co2 dectctor when off once, an our security system called the Fire Dept on us!!! The dectector had just gone off it seemed, an we wre looking for it when the Fire guys got there! Turns out the new furnace we had just put in had the fresh air intake placed too close to the exhaust vent, so the bad air was being drawn in with the good air! We called the company an they sent a guy out who just extended the intake about a foot higher. No more problems since though. I guess we were lucky! GLAD your OK.
  18. Steve, I THINK the 62 T-bird was a UNIBODY design, an doesn't have a separate frame. So i THINK you could actually paint the whole thing body color then add a red oxide primer on the underside. Just an idea.
  19. Harold, commin from Meeeechegun, THAT was downright COLD!!!!!!! ;) ( you sure you aren't from Dearborn????)
  20. WOW, 25 years hu? See what a draw these little cars can bring even AFTER so long??? WELCOME BACK! Yeah, Leo, ALOT has changed, but these guys here can answer ANY question you may have. For Plastic models I like to use some liquid glue called Ambroid. It applies with a self contained brush. For resin, you NEED super glue or epoxy for it, as plastic glues of ANY KIND do not have any effect on resin. Chucks advise is pretty good, as his idea comes in an EASY to find glazeing putty tubes. I use a plastic based filler called Evercoat. It is a two part putty that comes in 1 qt can for about 20 bucks at auto paint stores. Hope your enjoy your return, and you COULDN'T have come to a better place, these guys are GOOD!!!!!
  21. The front end looks mid 60's Mercedesish. Not a bad lookin car. I've never seen it before.
  22. Steve I CAN as long as it's with ADULT supervision!!! But they STILL won't let me have an exacto knife yet. Man it's a REAL bummer tryin ta BITE the parts off the sprues !!!!
  23. Davola, Try useing colored pencils by Spectracolor. They have a set called the Design Series, available at Micheal's that is VERY handy for detailing Dashboard instruments and other various objects that need a touch of color. My set has 12 pencils in all the basic colors, and a few extra ta boot. It cost about 12 bucks, but with a coupon you can get it VERY reasonably! Try 'em, you'll like them!!! Hope this helps!
  24. VERY nice job,Dan!!! I think the 51 Merc does have more personality than the 48. I like the quarter treatment better. Your right about the grille, it's TOO plain for the rest of the bodwork. Nice job on your conversion!
