  6. Hey Mike, Welcome! You'll like it here, it's the best of it's kind on the PLANET!
  7. The engine block, trans/torque tube an trans are all molded together as one piece.
  8. Harry, Believe it or not, there's one a them rascals sitting in a shop lot partially covered by a tarp about a 1/4 mile from my house!. It's blue, and it's JUST as ugly in real life as it is in that picture! An I thought it was a one of a kind!
  9. Daddy-O, that color is PERFECT for that little Cobra!!!!!! GREAT job!!!!
  10. Oh, an sorry Dave, you did such a nice job on it, I knew instantly what is was. You did THAT nice a job!!!!!
  11. That lil Chevy in the movie was actually Popular Hot Rodding's Project X 57 Chevy. That was a NICE little car. It's been totally upgraded with all kindsa electronic stuff, an LS Driveline an abunch of other stuff. It'll NEVER be that cool little 57 Chevy again.
  12. Oh Yeah, Jim, I have ALL of H.P's stories. About 200 in total, he was a man before his time. That Crazy Cart that Lo-Lo posted IS a monster lookin thingie, so it fit! Wonder how many Mope guys cried when they saw that B body SOOOO far up there!!!!! Good Ol OhiO!!!!
  13. It stood for Howard Phillip. H.P. Lovecraft was one of america's TOP horror writers, even outdoing E.A.Poe. His Cthulhu Mythos was the basis for an entire format of horror stories. There's only been a few of his stories ever translated to the screen, but those are pretty crazy all on their own too. Man, two of my favorite subjects in one thread, Models AND H.P. Lovecraft. By the way Lo-Lo, that's a pretty appropriate name for a monster like that!!!!!
  14. Harry, the "MAN" tells us that the charring on your grilled steaks gives us cancer, the yolk in eggs is bad for us, and our air is too polluted, yet NOTHING changes. NOW they tellin us our HOBBIES are bad for us! Big Brother is only looking out for OUR own good! Yeah, right.
  15. Don, my wife has been supportive of my hobby from jump. She liked looking at them when we were dateing. She kept my Mom from throwing them out while i was in the service, and has always gone to the toyshows/model shows with me, she's my bank, my color adviser and occasionally she comes up with some pretty cool ideas for them too. After this long(39)years we are pretty much a team when we go to the toy/model shows. It IS fun havein her with me, besides, if she DIDN'T control my spending we'd be broke! ;)
  16. Didn't the F&F mustang come with a deal like that? I mean a straight six Toyota or Mitsu engine in it?
  17. Now THAT would be a twist. I think it'd look cool, but you'll probably get heat from the purists. A Nissan powered rat rod, how cool, it certainly would be different!
  18. My thoughts exactly! WHAT PD used Citations INSTEAD of givein them????
  19. Oh yeah, I wholeheartedly agree, they are some beautiful kits, and i have them both. It's just that i thought Revell said they were going to produce the 62 in plastic. THAT wouldv've been nice. I've always thought the the front end of AMT'S 62 vette was off somehow, with the headights being rather small. The Revell kits front ends are perfect!
  20. Wasn't Revell at one time gonna produce the 62 Vette from the Die cast version to a plastic one? Whatever happened to it. Personally i think it was one of the prettiest vette designs ever.
  21. Sorry if i made the original thread change, Jim. I still think it's cool, even IF others don't understand why. That's THEIR problem. Can we get BACK to the little Skyline with the CHEVY engine??? Sorry, Jim. B)
  22. If you understood what i said, then WHAT'S the problem here? I gotta pm from someone else here who THINKS i want to pee with him???? whats up with THAT??? If you do not like what i say,or type rather DON'T read it! Yeeesh this is a MODEL CAR forum, where'd all the supposedly perfect spellers come from? Some of you guys REALLY take this stuff TOO darn seriously. I THOUGHT we were supposed to have fun here building models, NOT trying to teach others how to spell. Jim said he ENJOYED building that model, an to me, THAT'S all that counts! CAN YOU READ THIS PROPERLY??????? Yeeeesh, B)
  23. Mike-O, it ain over till the fat lady sings, OR Harry jus plain out TELLS us!!!!! But we STILL NEEDS ta knowed tha truffe!!!
  24. Guys, it's a MODEL CAR dudes!!! he coulda put a dang ROCKET in it and it STILL woulda been cool! These are flights of the imagination, NOT REAL CARS!!!! why get SOOOO worked up over a little toy car??????? Jim did a GREAT job on it. Too bad it has to be broken down as if it WERE real. you guys are takein this a little TOO seriously. The WHOLE idea is to have FUN doin what your doin! Did ya ENJOY buildin that little car Jim? If so, THAT'S the whole point!!! It may not be a REAL one, but it's STILL a cool ride.
  25. Last year, one of our members built that Nova on here! He made that lil car PERFECTLY!!! He had EVERYTHING that the movie car had, the gutted interior, the tractor seat for the passenger, the skull an crossbones on the hood, the rubber duckie on the hood, the WORKS!!! As far as I'm concerned it was a MUSEUM QUALITY build of a FANTASTIC car! I have to admit, I LOVED that movie!!! ;)
