Aftermarket body parts question!
george 53 replied to thesnake87's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
We USED to have a gentleman who WAS casting these types of kits. He had front and rear bumpers, AND ground effects kits for tuners. He was out of Cali, and he USED to post here. But I haven't seen him in over a year. If anybody knows who I'm talking about, or remembers him, maybe they can get him to post again. He was a real nice guy, it seemed. VERY good at makeing these parts. :D -
1/24th or 25th Dodge power wagons WC series
george 53 replied to icedragon's topic in Truck Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Danbury Mint make a Die Cast collectable of the WWII Dodge power wagon. I think it's still in their catalog. It's 129.00 bucks, but it IS a BEAUTIFUL model. Hope this helps. :D -
Greg, you REALLY suprise me that you haven't actually started on a REAL car!!!! This seems to be as complicated as doing the REAL thing, only smaller! This is as complete as the lil 240 Z you were working on. Hopefully you can get them both done soon. It'd be nice to see them both. Glad yer back at tha bench Bro, I've missed you, AND your incredible scratchbuilding/detailing abilities!!!! :(

1969 Mustang Trans Kit?
george 53 replied to jsimmons's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
AMT made a TRUE 1/25th scale 69 and 70 Mustang, Revell did also. The MPC 69/70 mustangs were actually 1/27th scale or 26th, I don't remember, but they ARE smaller than 25th scale! Missing Link USED to sell both the 69 and 70. I THINK I bought Kevin's last 70, but he MAY still have a 69 left. You need to contact him to make sure. But they match my original AMT 69/70 bodies perfectly. Hth. :( -
Looks GOOD Hertsi! Just say it's a brand new unit, and hasn't been assigned yet! THAT'LL explain WHY it's still so pretty!!!!

Guys, this is QUITE an expense for DRAG. They have done this for US, the modelers of America. They KNOW they won't get rich from this, hopefully they WILL break even and continue to offer us all these goodies that they do. It REALLY is a BIG step for the guys, whom I call my freinds and fellow club brothers.Help them out, buy stuff, and tell your freinds about them. Thay are NOT a single person, but a TEAM. They will help each other out, and And do each others work for them if neccessary. These guys have really set up to do this RIGHT. You WON'T get any excuses for late parts, caz there WON'T be any! These guys are live and for real, and they intend to be around for a long time! I KNOW I'll do MY part to help them keep goin strong. Like I said, check them out, buy stuff, ENJOY it, and come back and buy SOMEMORE!!!! Their in it for ALL of US!!!!!! ;) -

DENCON - No longer taking website orders
george 53 replied to Drake69's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
I've dealt with R&R , Modelhaus, Hendrix, Motor City Resins, Missing Link resins,Porkies resins,MCW resins, Bandit Resins, RMR resins, and now, MAD,resins, and all except R&R are casting useing 21st century methods. ALL these resin casters (except R&R) are EASY up to the standards set by Don Holthaus at the ModelHaus. I've recieved ALL my orders in QUICK time, like LESS than a week from when I sent my money. ALL these I mentioned are SAFE, Secure helpfull places to deal with! They WON'T let you down, and they have some GREAT stuff ta boot! Hope this helps! -
Nope, it wasn't a joke. Crazy Jim amd I went in together and purchased this gin jow stuff from Japan and got it in about a week! Jim's tried it, and so have I with mixed results. I'll keep it to see what ELSE I might be able to do with it, but since I got turned on to a chrome plateing service(the same one DRAG uses)i decided to just chrome plate my stuff rather than go the "Magic Dust" route.

My feelings exactly, Virgil. Those are the three probably top selling NICE cars in the world, and yet yes, they DO all look alike. Fox's Lexus STILL looks a smooshed jelly bean to me. Sorry, but it does. No offense Foxer, Don't hold it against me, PULEEEEZE!!!! -

george 53 replied to Greg Myers's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Actually,Virge, i think more like the mid 70's. Once the gov. imposed the safety regs on the automakers, the designs were no longer left up to just the stylists. Safety designers had to be involved with ALL aspects of the cars desogn, and in 74 when Roger Smith, Pres. of GM, decided that ALL GM cars would be standardized , it took away the designers rights to design ATTRACTIVE cars, and they became only a part of the design group, and no longer the lead. When we built Chevy's, Oldsmobiles, and Buick STATION WAGONS, on a line that for almost 50 years had been exclusively Cadillac, I knew things were gonna change real fast. And they did! ALL the cars look alike to me now. Almost can't tell a foriegn car from a Domestic big 3 car. -
REALLY LOUSY pic this week Harry. It's not clear enough to make out the details. Imma go wiff MODEL.

Get ahold of Ed Shaver, our resident Foam Board nut, you'd be AMAZED at what he can do with that stuff. THEN get ahold of our own Danny Iacoangelli, HE makes ALL the LITTLE things that'll make your Dio POP! They're BOTH the best at wat they do, and you'll be VERY happy with what they can help you with!!!! ;)

I LOVE 69 Chargers!!!! I had a 440 4spd R/T back in the day.I also had A 440 automatic 69 Super B too. all I'd like ta ask them is if they'd like to move to Michigan, and enjoy being enjoyed in the summer, and a nice warm garage to sleep in in the winter. And be OGLED ALL YEAR LONG,by ME!!!!!! Beautiful car.
