  1. This may not be a new scam on ebay But watch out for some models being listed as Original promo model's They include 1961 Ford, 1964 Ford Galaxie 500, 1969 Ford Galaxie, 1963 Nova Wagon, AMT's new 68 GTO... There maybe other's as well. My Brother got took on buying a "promo" of the 64 Ford Galaxie 500 Painted a light blue inside and out but they only painted the chassis bottom. He found the inside of the chassis was white, when he opened the chassis to fix the driver side fender Ord.
  2. From the tail lights on the tree's It's either the '56 Chevy Del Ray or a Nomad kit...
  3. Just my luck I bought the "Land Shark" Ambulance back in March of 2022. I changed a few things out from a Revell '59 Cadillac such as the front bumper, wheels and tires.
  4. Richard Moll (Bull Shannon) Passed away on October 26,2023 at the age of 80.. He joins Harry Anderson, Charlie Robinson, and Markie Post as cast members that the series lost..
  5. I worked at Wendy's for a few years, you really don't wanna know how they make their Chili! My first job I ever had was working at a L&K Restarunt. Started out as a dish washer, and ended up being a cook. So I also made L&K Chili before they went to premade..
  6. I have several ways of making chili. all start with 3 Ibs of ground beef! I add Chili powder to the beef while browning it along with chopped onion. Sometimes I'll add Diced bell peppers. 1 can chili beans either hot or mild, 1 can black beans, 1 can light red kidney beans, 1 can rotel, 1 can tomato sauce, and a small can of tomato paste, and 28 Oz of water. add more chili powder to taste while cooking. For a spicy chili get the jalapeno hamburger patties from Kroger and fore go chili powder unless your can eat it Spicy HOT!!!!
  7. Anyone else think that Revell should take a page from Round2 with their re-engenering of a few kit's such as the '77 Monte Carlo? The Monte Carlo would be a good car kit to redo 1.remove the hood from the body, 2. complete redo of the chassis (get rid of the funky adjustable junk), 3 stock wheels/tires along with custom wheel's/tires.. add a fire wall and radiator as well....
  8. Thanks I already knew that. But then Atlantis may have gotten the molds??? It would be a nice display having a AMT van Trailer with the Rat Fink decals on it along with the Outlaw and Mysterion. Then also switch rigs to the Ford Coe that is made by amt..
  9. Really ??? The decals say Rat Fink Road Show! Which would imply that it's supposed to be hauling at least two of the cars shown on the decals. Photo of a built one that I found a photo of on the net. The north American trailer I built and which AMT should have used. Guess I'll have to find another van Trailer so I can use the Rat Fink Decals!
  10. So far not to bad. I started from the roof (upside down)) added the front then side walls. Just got done adding the floor... Skipping around the instructions here though! I'm also changing a few thing's to update the trailer, adding non five spoke wheel's , changing the landing gear to flat skids, and the tail light panel to a 9 light system ( 6 round and three small bar lights)
  11. I have the Rat Fink trailer, but boy AMT should have used a more logical type of trailer for show cars. I believe the former Mayflower/allied/ north American/ Bill Elliott/ Kodak/ kraco race hauler/ moving van trailers would have been a better choice. Where as the insides retain the latter racing interior items which even the two show cars could maybe fit in it...
  12. Lot of them showing up on ebay now, and some sellers didn't bother removing the Ollies price stickers!
  13. Could have removed the International off the grill and called it a DINA C/O... Dina Truck's were IH based in the 1970's which most of those used quad head lights like your build.
  14. Structo actually... I sold one of these sets during the 127 Garage Sales around 2018.. All four cars it had was the Thunderbird's But they also had mustang's on other's
  15. The bottle of saphire blue was like that top layer, but all the way to the bottom of the bottle. It came out like clumps of rubber when I dug it out of the bottle!
  16. Over the last 6-7 years it seem's Testors square bottled paints have had quality issues such as some flat black bottles are to thined down while other colors tend to get either rock hard or rubber like. Case in point : I bought a bottle of saphire blue in May of this year, I only used it once , and went to use it today it was like rubber! In August I bought a old set of Testors paints That have a copyright from 1986, and yet the paint is still good! The paints from 1986 shake well/mix and is quite useable... while some of the "newer Rust O liuem " bottles go bad so quickly. Has any other members have this issue with the square bottled paint??????????
  17. Personally I use a bic type lighter to heat the cap which works quick, and the cap comes off when using a paper towel .. My main issue is that the paint hardens just after a couple of month's now, and becomes like a rock in the bottle! Odd but true thing is this year at the U.S. 127 garage sale I bought a set of bottle paints with a copyright for 1986, yet the paint is still perfect and useable. Only the thinner was fairly empty. Original price was 3.99 from Harts..
  18. 1. Adam-12 (All those late 60's early 70's Cars and trucks). 2. Movin' on( Semi trucks and car's).. 3. The Dukes of Hazzard ( Cars But Mostly Daisy Duke). 4. The A-Team (loved that van).. 5. Star Trek/ Star Trek The next Generation..
  19. The Scout SV was off the display floor for about a week or so in the last year, Since it had not be started or driven since about 1980. There is a video on you tube that show's that they cleaned out the gas tank, fuel lines and got the Scout SV Running/driveable again. Seen the Scout SV at both Auburn then at the First Harvester Homecoming at Fort Wayne Indiana. One person has a remaining body of a Scout SV Of the 30 Protoype's there are only the one at auburn and his. all others were destroyed. Side Note This wasn't the Scout II's replacement but a supplamental Vehical Or SV

So if anyone has his email addy I could use it!
