  1. I have several ways of making chili. all start with 3 Ibs of ground beef! I add Chili powder to the beef while browning it along with chopped onion. Sometimes I'll add Diced bell peppers. 1 can chili beans either hot or mild, 1 can black beans, 1 can light red kidney beans, 1 can rotel, 1 can tomato sauce, and a small can of tomato paste, and 28 Oz of water. add more chili powder to taste while cooking. For a spicy chili get the jalapeno hamburger patties from Kroger and fore go chili powder unless your can eat it Spicy HOT!!!!
  2. Anyone else think that Revell should take a page from Round2 with their re-engenering of a few kit's such as the '77 Monte Carlo? The Monte Carlo would be a good car kit to redo 1.remove the hood from the body, 2. complete redo of the chassis (get rid of the funky adjustable junk), 3 stock wheels/tires along with custom wheel's/tires.. add a fire wall and radiator as well....
  3. Thanks I already knew that. But then Atlantis may have gotten the molds??? It would be a nice display having a AMT van Trailer with the Rat Fink decals on it along with the Outlaw and Mysterion. Then also switch rigs to the Ford Coe that is made by amt..
  4. Really ??? The decals say Rat Fink Road Show! Which would imply that it's supposed to be hauling at least two of the cars shown on the decals. Photo of a built one that I found a photo of on the net. The north American trailer I built and which AMT should have used. Guess I'll have to find another van Trailer so I can use the Rat Fink Decals!
  5. So far not to bad. I started from the roof (upside down)) added the front then side walls. Just got done adding the floor... Skipping around the instructions here though! I'm also changing a few thing's to update the trailer, adding non five spoke wheel's , changing the landing gear to flat skids, and the tail light panel to a 9 light system ( 6 round and three small bar lights)
  6. I have the Rat Fink trailer, but boy AMT should have used a more logical type of trailer for show cars. I believe the former Mayflower/allied/ north American/ Bill Elliott/ Kodak/ kraco race hauler/ moving van trailers would have been a better choice. Where as the insides retain the latter racing interior items which even the two show cars could maybe fit in it...
  7. Lot of them showing up on ebay now, and some sellers didn't bother removing the Ollies price stickers!
  8. Could have removed the International off the grill and called it a DINA C/O... Dina Truck's were IH based in the 1970's which most of those used quad head lights like your build.
  9. Structo actually... I sold one of these sets during the 127 Garage Sales around 2018.. All four cars it had was the Thunderbird's But they also had mustang's on other's
  10. The bottle of saphire blue was like that top layer, but all the way to the bottom of the bottle. It came out like clumps of rubber when I dug it out of the bottle!
  11. Over the last 6-7 years it seem's Testors square bottled paints have had quality issues such as some flat black bottles are to thined down while other colors tend to get either rock hard or rubber like. Case in point : I bought a bottle of saphire blue in May of this year, I only used it once , and went to use it today it was like rubber! In August I bought a old set of Testors paints That have a copyright from 1986, and yet the paint is still good! The paints from 1986 shake well/mix and is quite useable... while some of the "newer Rust O liuem " bottles go bad so quickly. Has any other members have this issue with the square bottled paint??????????
  12. Personally I use a bic type lighter to heat the cap which works quick, and the cap comes off when using a paper towel .. My main issue is that the paint hardens just after a couple of month's now, and becomes like a rock in the bottle! Odd but true thing is this year at the U.S. 127 garage sale I bought a set of bottle paints with a copyright for 1986, yet the paint is still perfect and useable. Only the thinner was fairly empty. Original price was 3.99 from Harts..
  13. 1. Adam-12 (All those late 60's early 70's Cars and trucks). 2. Movin' on( Semi trucks and car's).. 3. The Dukes of Hazzard ( Cars But Mostly Daisy Duke). 4. The A-Team (loved that van).. 5. Star Trek/ Star Trek The next Generation..
  14. The Scout SV was off the display floor for about a week or so in the last year, Since it had not be started or driven since about 1980. There is a video on you tube that show's that they cleaned out the gas tank, fuel lines and got the Scout SV Running/driveable again. Seen the Scout SV at both Auburn then at the First Harvester Homecoming at Fort Wayne Indiana. One person has a remaining body of a Scout SV Of the 30 Protoype's there are only the one at auburn and his. all others were destroyed. Side Note This wasn't the Scout II's replacement but a supplamental Vehical Or SV
  15. Thank you for your help.....

  18. Dave hasn't been on the forum since Feb. Anyone know if he is alright??? I'd like to contact him about a IH cab he made, But I don't have his email address. and can't send one via his web site as my computer won't let ne sign in on the email app that pop's up. So if anyone has his email addy I could use it!
  19. I haven't had an issue with removing it from the plastic. and the lines come out crisp and smooth. Haven't had any issues with paint build up either..
  20. Anyone else use automotive pinstripes on a semi truck kit for masking when painting stripes on a truck?
  21. These famous people died the same week as Bob.. Arleen Sorkin : Days of our lives & Voice actress Hersha Paraday: Little House on the Prairie Terry Funk: HOF wrester Windham Rotunda: WWE wrestler known as Bray wyatt he was just 36..
  22. My roommate! Most of the time we get along, but sometimes he carries his jokes to far ! (Although I don't think he was joking) After letting him know that I had an up coming trade deal he said that he should ban me from shopping at Ollie's! This man has no hobbies unless you count sitting most of the day in front of a TV, and then half the time he sleeps during the day "watching " it. Before 2020 he would have me drive him to a strip club in Indiana Monthly. Sometimes he wanted to go twice in a month. I could live without giving money to someone and not have anything but an empty wallet to show for it. The city made a new law for these places, and so he no longer goes to it. He say's that landlords wouldn't like my collection of model's If we had to move. So after he made the statement I shot back then I need to stop going to walmart ect that way I don't spend anything that I have only on bill's ! We split the rent, electric ect. I pay my auto insurance, and most of the Gasoline I use I pay for. I set back Around $65-70 Dollars a month for gasoline. he shell's out 10-20 depending on if I used up the gas money. Sometimes he acts like his dad, and his dad treated him Poorly. I get that! My own dad was the same way, and would treat my siblings better than myself. After all we can be a product of how we were raised, but that is unless one chooses not to follow it but learn to be different than their parents. Which is the path I chose for myself. I had little in common with my late dad. Yet I respect him for working like he did to provide for his family. I didn't follow doing what he did to me growing up when it came to my children. While I still think a spanking is a good for the learning process, But the throwing of a shoe, using tree limbs, and verbal abuse I wasn't going to use on my children. But it don't make up for the fact that my roommate can be a donkey's rear sometimes. I try not to be to him! Lets just say on the first I get just north of $500.00 and the third another $401. The whole $401 goes to him as my half of the bill's + an extra $125 per month added to that to hold for my Auto Insurance which is $414 every six Months. Sometimes I put 150-170 back a month. The rest minus gasoline money is my spending capital. Which Pays for items such as TP, Paper towles , plastic frezzer bags and other hygene items. He rather me only have $100.00 to spend while the rest is put back for Insurance ect. But being on SSI and EBT/ I'm Not allowed to have much cash on hand. When I was growing up I didn't have much money to buy models , let alone get to many store's that had them. So what I built were from Christmas presents or birthday money from my grand parents. So I try to make up for what I missed out on while growing up. which My roommate don't like nor understand as he don't have any hobbies, or collections of anything,
  23. Maybe, But then those display's were filled and sent by Round 2... From what I'm seeing at my local Ollie's that the kit's are coming in by the case load and are non mixed cases! IE The photo's above that show cases of kits cut open. Would be nice if they also got the 1/25-1/24 amt display case's!
  24. If it's the one with the Orange build on the box, Then Yes the Mack frame is in that kit...
