ranma replied to Falcon Ranchero's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
And that is what I did to mine. Just switch the dash/steering wheel in the interior as well. Then make the 300 a promo type car. -

What's with the U.S.Post office these days?
ranma replied to styromaniac's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
I remember about 30 or so years ago any mail that was marked with an in town address it was delivered the next day as it never left town. Then USPS decided that after a couple hundred of years doing this needed to be changed! So on to a sorting center it went. In Ohio that meant it went to Toledo , Columbus, Dayton, Cincinatti, Cleveland, Or Akron before going back to hometown. Then in order to serve customers better they closed several of those centers down to only around 3 centers in the early 2000's. Now we have the Magic of Mr.Louis DeJoy at hand......... -
Sadly any tooling that is in China will stay put Once in China it will never be allowed to be removed. China did this to Franklin and Danbury mint's die cast cars!

What's with the U.S.Post office these days?
ranma replied to styromaniac's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
Model I bought on ebay Left New Hampshire landing in Mass on the 4th Left Mass on the 5th and now is in Iowa! Completely bypassing OHIO. USPS is really taken a dive in Delivery! I guess it's just part of Louis's Idea to piss off USPS customers so the USPS can be made into a private Company like Fed Ex/UPS/DHL/AMAZON Delivery -

The only kits at our local one is the non selling Atlantis Nike Missle kit. The have a bunch of Lousy Puzzles and board games that take 90% of the shelf space on one side of the toy isle.

I'm wanting to find a set of the wheels as seen on the IH in the photo attached. I have items that I can trade for a set, so I can build a Transtar 4070 as a Ryder rental truck . I have a 4070a coming via ebay, and already have the Ryder decal set from the AMT Mack Cruise liner kit...

Our wal-mart had a deal that was much to great to pass up, I bought 11 packs. These are natural casing hot dog's and usually quite pricey, Regular price was $8.97 Clearance price $1.00 each! Also found quite a bit of reduced ground beef and chicken breast. I ended up buying Ground Chuck 1/3 Lbs patties (4 LBS) $11.44 X2 One pack of 1/3 Lbs (4 LBS) $14.44 While the Tyson skinless/boneless chicken breast were about $5.00

What was your first truck model?
ranma replied to Mike77's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
My first truck model was way back in 1973. My dad painted it while my mother put the two rigs together for Christmas 1973! Being 6 and listening to my older bro we played with them so they didn't last very long. When Round2 cloned the kit just a few years ago I Bought 20 Of them ! Both the first reissue and the rat fink copies. I decide to build an exact copy "Clone" of that Semi that was for Christmas all those years ago. -

Most Coin dealers try to stay away from Coin's and bill's that have been altered/colorized as they consider it as defacing the value of the Coin or bill...

Another Example of Ineptitude by the USPS
ranma replied to StevenGuthmiller's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
According to informed delivery a package was left on the steps to the trailer we live in at 6:45 P.M. No Knock or anything. So I didn't find this info till this morning Went out and found nothing!! Guess someone else seen it and off it went with them! It's not just USPS that no longer knocks UPS and Fed Ex don't either Anymore! I long for the day's when they at least knocked! Now it's drop off and go which makes it easier for the PORCH PIRATES.. -
This is almost the last of the station wagon's I have, 1960 Nomad in Black, 1958 Nomad's and last is a '59 Nomad wagon promo......

Got a refund from ebay for the "lost" HO scale model. If it does show up here I will ship it back to the seller!

Not really, I was married twice and yet still I was the main person to go buy the groceries. It's like saying "most" men never had to buy food for their selves, Then again When I went to school our classes 7th and 8th grade were two semesters of Home economics, and shop classes. And the Girls also switched for those two 9 weeks. In High school it was a selected class, And I was the only guy in my class to do Home ec!

Well gee I've been grocery shopping my entire adult life, and the only time I have "the deer in The headlights " look is when the store does a complete reset that changes every thing isle wise around. Wal Mart done it about 4 years ago and Meijer's in Lima Ohio just reset the whole store last year!

My Irk: An ebay seller trying to scam me so that they don't have to refund the money! I bought an h.o. scale honest sam used car lot kit which went from Sacromento California to Cambridge,Mass where it was picked up in person at a Post Office there. So it's been delivered! I'm located 824.9 Miles WEST of that in OHIO! contacted the sell who claims he shipped it to the correct address in Ohio. That can't be true as the Tracking # show's it was picked up in Cambridge. Oh and to add a issue he has the same kit listed on ebay under a different h.o.building!
