My Late wife got it from Fred's model word for Christmas around 7 years ago he has one every once and a while up for sale. He's a lot cheaper than Evil Bay!
I did not have the heart to spray paint the cab, I built her about 6 years ago it has made it through two electrical fire and when other models were stolen they missed taking it thank goodness. I had one of these when they first were issued ( I was about 6 years old) My dad worked for harvester in Ft. Wayne Ind. he painted the trucks for them till retireing in 1992. That first one did not last as being that young I played with it. I am older and wiser now and she stays in a show glass showcase with a transtar 4270. on a shelf in my room.
It started with the recent reissue of the Pepsi cargo C-600 Ford and is being turned into a fire truck. Thanks to pumper parts from a Le France pumper fire truck.
Hey Harry, you think they would mind if we went ground hog hunting (phil) Any way with all the lights they use up there when they pull him out, he's going to see his shadow but then again it's still six weeks of winter by my callender's
Kill the ground Hog! and Tuesday night were going to get hit with almost 10 more inches of the white BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH! you can keep it up there Harry, if you could?
I highly doubt that the International S-Series both the 2575 and the two 2674's will ever be reissued as Ertl thought that they did not sell well. This also goes for the 1/32 9670 kit. I wish the would reissue them but I don't see it happening. But since you are making a wish list of reissued trucks why not some New trucks Such as The 9670 in 1/25 scale,or the last cab overs that Kw & peterbilt made. evn some of the Newer trucks. would be nice. Thank you Moebuis for the LoneStar and the ProStar truck kits. Now if the other model companys like Autoworld and Revell-Monogram would follow suit. ( not Revell of Germany)
I know how you feel I lost my wife of 14 years on the 28 th of December 2013. she was just 43 but had been ill for so long. in the last months she could hardly walk anymore. she was put in Hospice for the last 2 1/2 days of her life. she looked so at peace when she died. But just knowing that she is no longer suffering is a ease on my mind. I miss her like crazy though.
I did the light blue one after one that I seen parked here in town. The battery box is located behind the fuel tanks and the fuel tanks are under the cab not the sleeper. The stacks were not on the real one so the pipe comes direct from the muffler and out the bottom of the truck. I also added the pull handle on the fifth wheel on this truck. you can see it in the picture if you look closely at it.
My oldest brother bought the kit for me this is how it turned out when I built it. This lat blue truck is almost done the late wife of mine bought it for our 14th wedding aniversy
My roommate bought not one but 4 Jimmy Johnsons Amt 2010 Impala's For just $2.00 each and also got one Jeff Gordon car as well. He bought them at a farm supply store called RUAL KING. What a deal he got on them!
