  1. Thank you Don and Peter. Peter I perfer the original models much better the the new release too. I also like the hardtop better than to convertible or roadster. Al
  2. Very nice first build. Really explains a lot about your creations now.
  3. Wow, Thank you everyone. I have a real soft spot for this color. Everytime I use it, I get the same high gloss finish. Al

  6. Thank you Chris. The tires fit like they came in the kit. I've used the AMT's RWL tires on Johan, Revell and MPC's with no problem. Al
  7. Thank you Lee, Ron and Wayne. Al
  8. I forgot to take pictures of this one when I got it a week ago, but I can say this wasn't a real bad one. It was painted all gold. I always liked these in a rich maroon, so I painted it in Dupli-color Dark Toreador Red with matching interior. I applied 4 coats of Testors Wet Look Clear to the body and polished it out with The Treatment model wax. The windows were tinted with 3 light coats of Tamiya's Clear Blue. The tires are Firestone's 60's WW from AMT's parts pack. I always liked the look of the hardtops and these are a little rarer to find in model form. Let me know what you think. Thank, Al

  11. Thank you very much everyone. Al
  12. This is one of the kits my friend John gave me 3 weeks ago. I painted this Tamiya's Grey Green Military spray. I didn't clear coat this one, instead I polished out the semi-gloss finish to a full shine. The interior in a darker shade of Tamiya's Military Green and tinted the glass with 3 light coats of Tamiya's Clear Blue. BMF all emblems and trim, black washed where needed and polished out one more time with The Treatment Model Wax. Thanks for looking. Al
  13. Here's my 2014 NJ State Ford Interceptor.

  16. Thank you Tom and Dennis.
  17. That's something different and well done!!!
  18. Thank you everyone for the nice comments. When I 1st got this one, I was thinking a pale blue metalic. I glad I went with the silver. Silver has always been a problem for me, I can never get it shiny, but this one came out smooth and shiny Al
  19. Thank you everyone for the nice comments on my Cadillac. I find restoring someones gluebomb into a thing of beauty, very gratifying. Al
  20. This Caddy had 2 things going against it, 1st it was molded in that ugly Johan green and 2nd the original builder painted it Rustoleum satin black. It took 1 week of soaking in Purple Power to get all the paint off, but still the plastic was stained from the Rustoleum. I primed it Tamiya's primer grey and then 4 coats of Tamiya's silver mica and finished the paint off with 4 coats of Testors wet look clear. The interior was done in Tamiya's semi-gloss black and I tinted the glass with 3 very light coats of Tamiya's clear blue. Let me know what you think. Al
  21. What's in your twisted mind Ray???

  24. Thanks again guys. I looked a long time for one of these and my friend give it to me and didn't know it was a Machine. I offered him money for is, but told to enjoy the build. Al
