  1. Excellent build. Love Model A's
  2. First, Thank you for all the nice comments on my Cadillac. Now for John's question regarding the windshield tint. I use Tamiya's clear blue sprayed from a rattle can. I hold the can about 1' from the glass and give it 3 quick, very light coats of paint. Have a piece of white paper near so you can judge your tint. You may not notice the tint and want add more coat and then you end up with dark blue glass, that what the paper is for, I know very well from trial and error. No top coat is needed. Hope this helps, If you have any questions, PM me and I'll walk you through it. Thanks again. Al
  3. Thanks again guys. I'm overwhelmed by all the nice comment on my Caddy. BTW, under a winter storn warning now and it's snowing and 26 outside. Heat wave Al

  8. Thank you Rich. That concrete is tough on my new knee. Should of paid extra for the knee heater.
  9. Beautifully done Peter. I hate to admit it, but I like the pre-painted one too. Just for a fun build.
  10. I built this one last summer and thought now, (being it's 3 below here in North Jersey) would be a good time to show her off. This is a Johan ebay find, painted Tamiya Italian Red with Testors Wet Look Clear top coat. The interior was paint Tamiya's Flat White with maroon carpet. The glass was tinted using Tamiya's Clear Blue. Hope youlike it, because I froze my rear off taking these pictures. Thanks for looking. Al
  11. Sweet Ray. I like it!!!
  12. Excellent build Carl. I had a friend that had a 2 door wagon in the same color with 3 on the tree. What a beast!
  13. Thanks Peter, Rich and Carl. This is such a great kit, I wish Tamiya would bring it back. Al
  14. Thank you everyone for the nice comments. The model is a 1966. I bought this one off ebay about a month ago. I don't think it's available at this time, but I'm not totally positive. There is a Karmann Ghia 1:24 on ebay now, but I don't know anything about the manufacturer Mr Hobby. Below is the link. Hope this helps Al http://www.ebay.com/itm/GSI-Creos-Mr-Hobby-G188-Volkswagen-Karmann-Ghia-1-24-Scale-Plastic-Kit-/391055404964?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item5b0cb7efa4 I just located one on Amazon!!! http://www.amazon.com/89652-Volkswagen-Karmann-Ghia-Coupe-Limited/dp/B004V1TD84
  15. A little something different for me, but one of my favorite cars. Back in the 70's my best friend had a convertible and the guy across the street, bought a brand new bright orange coupe. Great poor man's sport car, he called it. I painted this one Tamiya's gloss black and the interior was done in 2 tone Tamiya's greys. This is an excellent kit and highly recommended. Thanks for looking Al
  16. Beautiful job Rich.
  17. Love it! Great job!!!
  18. Thank you Tommy from the nice comments.
  19. Scott, The tires are small and to get them to look ok, I had to file the outside rim of the wheel covers off. This improves the look very much. My tires had whitewalls added by fellow modeller John White, which also helps the look. Hope this helps. Al
  20. Beautiful job. You can't beat the Modelhaus.
  21. Thank you Bruce and Tom. Al
  22. Thank you Andre, Charlie and Danno. Charlie, I'll give you a crash course on window tinting at the NNL East. Al
