  1. Thank you again. The heater is a 6 element 1500 watt with a blower. The fan blows soft, so not stir up any dust. All my models I do are painted using rattle cans and using the Wet Look Clear really levels out any imperfections in the paint finish. Al
  2. Thank you. It's the kits stock stance. The kit has a metal front axle with 2 positions, stock and lowered for custom. The custom stance is just too low and looks off. AL
  3. Thanks everyone. Got to love Tamiya' s gloss black, never had a bad finish. AL
  4. Sweet!!!
  5. Thanks Lee. That's the reflection of my garage door in my super smooth black paint job. Lol
  6. Thanks it's a pretty straight forward build. The only issues I had with it were the wheels and tires.I had file the front edge of the hubcaps level with the sides so the whitewalls could be seen and the wheel backs had to be thinned to fit the tires. I also don't like the way the rear tires fit in the wheel wells. Otherwise a nice kit. Al
  7. Beautiful as always Harry!!! Have you ever built the 37 Packard from Entex?
  8. I painted this in Tamiya's gloss black with Testor's wet look clear top coat. The interior was done in Tamiya's semi gloss black. The windows were lightly tinted with 3 light coats of Tamiya's clear blue. My friend John White made the white walls, using the kits supplied tires. John did a beautiful job, even though the tires are really bad. The Corvair in the last photo is an original 1960 SMP Corvair kit I restored last year. Thanks for looking at my 2nd build for 2015. Al
  9. Thank you, I really appreciate all the nice comments. Al
  10. Thanks again guys.
  11. Thanks Carl & Oscar. Doing these 24 hour builds, really push your modelling ablities.b Al
  12. Thank you Ken & Donald. Builds like this keep me on my toes. Tom, that sound doable, but have to check with the wife. Call me. Al
  13. Thank you Lee & Ray.
  14. Thanks guys, I dry my paint on a Tamiya paint stand in front of a Infrared Quartz Heater, it cuts the drying time down to a couple of minutes. As soon as I'm sure it's dry, I polish the body out with the Treatment model wax. Al
  15. Here I go again with another quick build. I picked this Torino up Saturday at a LHS. Sunday I painted it Testors Grabber Orange Lacquer with 3 coats of Testors Wet Look Clear top coat and BMF all exterior and interior trim. The interior is done in Tamiya's Semi Gloss Black and the Window were tinted with 3 very light coats of Tamiya's Clear Blue. AMT's RWL tires were used instead of the kit supplied tires. Let me know what you think. Thank for looking. Al
  16. Beautiful AMC!!!
  17. Excellently done!!!
  18. Dave is doing fine. He attends our monthly meetings of the Jersey Shore model car club
  19. Love the color, excellent build!!!
  20. Beautiful Ray!!! You know how I feel about Mustang II's.
  21. Thanks guys. I'm always looking for something that has never been kitted. As far as my clear coat goes, I alway apply wet coats (heavy), but not enough to cause runs. AL
  22. Beautiful conversion. Love the suicide doors!!!
  23. Thanks Carl. I wish somebody would cast models of Lincoln Mk's or Cadillac Seville's. Al
  24. Harry, I think the Sinatra Edition was paint a silver blue. Thanks guys. Al
