  1. Thanks guys. I looked into buying a 59 about 6 years ago, but it wouldn't fit in my garage. Al
  2. Thanks guys. I didn't know there was that many Big *^? Lincoln lovers out there. This one of the best fitting Modelhaus I've built and I've done quit a few. Rich, I have 7 58's in my collection, most of them are Ford's. Al
  3. I bought this 2 years ago at the NNL East and forgot all about it. Wednesday I was going through my stash and found it. This is a Modelhaus kit and very well done. I painted it Dupli-color Dark Toreador Red with Wet Look Clear top coats. The interior was done in Krylon Dark Merlot and I tinted the glass with light coats of Tamiya's Clear Blue. I'm very happy with the finish on this one, a very rewarding build. Let me know what you think. Thanks for looking. Al
  4. Beautiful build Alan. Very rare find there.
  5. Thank you Sam.
  6. ok Thank Gary, I like the pastel color on the late 50's cars. Thank you Danno, Peter, Tom, Alan and Scott for the nice comments. Al
  7. Beautiful Build!!! Funny looking Ford Galaxie though
  8. Thank you again everyone, I really enjoyed this build. Al
  9. Thanks guys!!! Steve, the sixies were way to good to me and I thought I already did.
  10. I finished the Edsel in a long build for me, in 3 days. I painted it Krylon turquoise with Tamiya's ptimer white for the body and seat inserts and finished it off with 3 coats of Testors wetlook clear. 3 very light coat of Tamiya's clear blue was applied to the windshield to give it a nice tint. I waited a long time to find a clean 59 Edsel and I think the wait was worth it. I'm still waiting on the fender ornimates from The Modelhaus. Thanks for looking. Al
  11. Beautiful build. It's just like the one my best friends dad had when I was a kid.

  13. Thanks Steve. I'm using a Dupli-Color Ford color thatis almost an exact match.
  14. Ok, I decided on Spice Gold Poly for the Chrysler, with a black vinyl top and with interior. After seeing all these beautiful builds above, the only color I didn't see was gold. Thanks Al
  15. Steve, great build and I needed a good side view for reference. Thanks, Al
  16. Steve, thanks for the color chart, that's going to help. Scott, put you winter coat on and wait by your mailbox for the Chrysler. It's going to get real cold before you get it. Steve, the glued hood was a minor problem on the Chrysler. I've never seen so much glue used on a model, i'm still trying to get it apart, The Edsel was never glued and came apart in one minute. Al
  17. I already ordered the fender ornamates from The Modelhaus and have a set of wheel covers from AAMT 58 Edsel kit. I know I will be doing a vinyl top on the Chrysler and thinking maybe a teal or maybe a gold with black top. Thank you for your suggestions. Al
  18. I picked these up yesturday at the LIARS show. Both are original unpainted and unmolested condition. The Edsel will be done in turquoise with white, but I need some suggestions for the Chrysler. I got both of these for under a hundred bucks. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Al
  19. Beautiful Steve. It's no Continental, but it looks good.
  20. Ok, the wheel covers, hood ornimate and rear grill arrived today and just had to finish it. I did have to sacrifice those nice white walls though, the wheel covers were promo style and wouldn't fit the tires. Theses WW are from AMT's Firestones parts pack.
  21. Excellent build as always Rich. I hate when you think your getting that perfect resin and then it arrives. I useally get totally frustrated and give them to you.
  22. Beautiful Mercury!!!
  23. Thank you everyone. It's not my best, but being an a 4 door Imperial, it fits perfectly in my land yacht collection. Al
  24. Beautiful custom Rich.I love it wasn't done using the top of the Fairlane.
  25. This one took me almost a year to finish. The body was badly warped and the only replacement parts The Modelhaus carries for a 62 Imperial are for the AMT verision except the taillights. I straightened the body the best I could and painted in Tamiya Pearl Light Blue, Testors Wet Look Clear and Tamiya's Clear Blue for window tint. The interior was finished in Testors Maroon Lacquer. This car used a whole steet of BMF, which included front and rear bumpers and grill. The taillight are from The Modelhaus, Note!!! The bumpers The Modelhaus carries are for the AMT kit only. I was lucky and sold mine to a friend who had the AMT version. Let me know what you think about the color combo, it's a combo my dad's 64 Chrysler 300 and like the way it looked. Al
