  1. Super clean build!!!
  2. Looks like a Yugo on steroids. Nicely done."
  3. Outstanding, Strange but Outsatnding. The 60's were good to you!!!
  4. Thanks again everyone for the nice comment. This is my last build for awhile, I'm having knee replacement Monday and won't be able to do the steps. I wonder if my wife will let me set up a paint booth in our bedroom.? Al
  5. Beautiful !!!
  6. Thanks Ray and Scott, I always like to try different 2 tones.
  7. Thank you guys. All my cars are painted out of rattle cans.
  8. Here's my 59 Chevy painted like a 58. I painted the car Tamiya's Semi-gloss black and Testors Bright Pink lacquer and then top coated with Tamiya's Clear Red. The clear red turned the semi-gloss black into black cherry. All glass was tinted with a light coat of clear red. The wheels and tires are from Monogram's Firebird. The headlights are MV lenses. Let me know what you think. Al
  9. That is beautiful!!!
  10. Go to a good model train hobby shop and get some MV's. These are excellent lens, with a chrome backing, in various sizes and colors. I would bring the grill with you so you can get the right size. I've been using them for years and get a lot of comments on them. Hope this helps.
  11. Danno, a bettle is a rare insect only found in the northern most part of Somerset County, NJ
  12. Really nice build!!!
  13. Thanks again everyone. This is a full detail snap kit with opening hood and trunk, but with the fit issues I decided to glue everything closed. Al
  14. Thanks everyone. I bought these wheels at NNL East a couple of years ago and just couldn't find the right car for them. They fit the wheel wells on the VW perfectly IMO. Harry I saw the wipers after I took the pictures, but it take me so long to get up and down the stairs now I thought I could let it slide. I did remember the mirrors though. Al
  15. Thanks guys. The track is a Carrera 110' 1:32nd set up in my basement.
  16. This is Polar Lights Spiderman Bettle. It was molded in red, so I primed it in Tamiya's white primer and then applied 3 coats Testors Brilliant Pink lacquer and 3 coats of Testors Wet Look Clear. The interior was done in the Pink with Semi-gloss black 2 tone and I smoked the windows using Tamiya Clear Smoke. All paint was appied out of rattle cans. I lowered the suspension to give a a nice stance with a nice set of after market wheels. I had a lot of trouble with fit, it was one of the most difficult snap kit I ever done. The overall look of the model is very nice though. Thanks for looking. Al
  17. Super clean build!!! Love the dog dish hub caps.
  18. Beautiful build of one of my favorite cars.
  19. Great build!!! I love orphan cars.
  20. That's excellent Peter. Love the color and build!!!
  21. Beautiful restoration!!! My dad bought this for me back in the 60's. The level of detail for the era was incredible, it was just a little too much for a 11 year old. I wish IMC had survived!
  22. 36 metal Monogram 56 T Birds. A local Ford dealer in Glenview Il. hired me to make them for Thunderbird buyers back in the 80's. I will never build another one. When you get one of these jobs, you think this will be fun, but when your finished. you realize, this takes all the fun out of building model cars and ended up taking a year off building model cars.
  23. Beautiful Build!!! Love the color.
  24. That's one beautiful build. Excellent!!!!!
