  1. Rob, I built the 69 last week made by MAD. Excellent kit, you just need to supply tires and wheel back. 99% flash free..
  2. Thanks guys. The Modelhaus did an outstanding job on this kit. Fit and finish are top notch!!! Al
  3. Bright enough color This is the Modelhaus Cadillac Coupe DeVille I picked up at this years NNL East and the third in a series of 4 kits I bought this year. I painted this one Dupli-color Lip Stick Red Met. with 3 Testors Wet Look Clear top coat. The top and interior was done with Tamiya Primer White and Rustoleum Merlot for the dash and carpet. The windows were tinted with Tamiya's Clear Blue. I loved building this one. Let me know how it came out. Thanks Al Harry: Mirrors
  4. Charlie for tinting windows, I use Tamiya Clear Blue out of a rattle can. 3 quick, very light coats on the inside of the windows and you're done. Practice on a piece clear helps. Remember, the lighter coats the better. Just because you can't see it, doesn't mean it isn't done. Use a piece on white paper after each coat, too check the darkness. Al
  5. This is sad news. I grew up going to Al' s. At least I'll have some fond memories
  6. Thank you Lee. I used The Detailer black wash to bring out the wheels.
  7. Nice Rumble Bee!!!
  8. S Steve, Thanks for the heads up on mirrors from the Modelhaus. The 67 Grand Prix had a rich look to it, from front to back, It reminds me of a 69-70 Mercury X-100. Just a Big O Boat with style. Al
  9. Harry, I'm out of mirrors. I just don't want to put any mirrors on my models, they have to be in the same time period as the car. do you know of anyone that makes aftermarket mirrors? Thanks everyone for the nice comments on this build. I really enjoyed building this one. Al
  10. This is the 2nd build since NNL East of last Saturday. This is a Modelhaus Resin painted Dupli-color Forest Green with Testors Wet Look Clear, Tamiya Semi Gloss Black interior and Clear blue window tint. I love the look of this car with hide away head lights. Thanks for looking. Tell me if I missed something. Al
  11. Looks great!!!
  12. Beautiful!!!
  13. Thank you everyone. I've been looking for a 69 Caddy for a long time and when I saw Kris Morgan had a resin one, I just went and bought it. This is a curbside with very little clean up. A perfect resin for someone who wants to try a resin for the first time. The window tint is done with 3 light coats of Tamiya clear blue on the inside of the Windows. Thanks again. Al
  14. I picked this resin kit up at NNL East. It's is made by Morgan Automotive Detail (M.A.D.) The castings are beautiful. I painted it it Dupli-color Pebble Beige and Testors Wet Look Clear top coat. The interior is painted Tamiya flat Sand Stone. This is a beautiful kit and a must have for Caddy collectors. Let me know you think. Al

  23. In the den in the recliner in front of the tube. All painting is done in the back yard unless it rains, then I paint in the garage.
  24. There's one at 23 W. 45th downstairs. Been there since 46 and I think most of their stuff has been there since then. It's called the Red Caboose, but they have car stuff too. Stuff is packed in from floor to ceiling. An interesting and a must see if your in NYC.
  25. Love the paint. Beautiful build!!!
