  1. Had to put it on hold for while . Just got home from the doctor and have to get hearing aids.
  2. It's a bad batch of diecast. I have a Franklin Mint 60 Rolls Royce that broke in many pieces just sitting on the shelf. Also a Kyosho Audi wagon that broke in half when somebody tried to open a doorand then the door fell off. The Rolls is a total loss and the Audi is glued with a do not touch sign on it. .
  3. Ray, I don't know, but I think it's pretty close. They were pretty massive cars and known for their low slung top as shown here. I think there was a 1:43 white metal handbuilt done a couple of years ago, with a super high price tag of about $500.00. This is the only one made in 1:24. The red one has 500 copies for $299.00, Bronze has 100 copies at $399.00 and the triple black has 50 copies at $499.00. All come with removable sunroof panel. As an owner of 2 1:1 MK's this is a gotta have for me, even at that price tag. I've been looking for a 1:1, at a reasonable price locally for a while. I would even put my Porsche up for trade. Al Here's a picture of the $399. in Bronze.
  4. Has anyone seen one of these in person. I'm seriously thinking of buying one. The only problem, the starting price is $299.00 and goes up depending on the color. Al
  5. Excellent restoration!!!
  6. Thanks everyone. The up top comes in the kit along with all the chrome extras for a full dressed version 50's style!
  7. I painted this one years ago in automotive lacquers, but never build it until the other day. This Revell BelAir is a great kit and builds into a beautiful replica. Harry, it's got mirrors. Thanks for looking. Al
  8. Lee, I thought someone would catch this earlier. I was just about to put the headlights on, when I dropped them on the floor. White carpeting ate my lens . So today I went through my parts box and it's a big improvement. Everyone, thank you for the great compliments on my 300B. Al
  9. This Moebius was a joy to build.I painted it Tamiya Black, no clear but polished with Novus #2. Instead of painting the recommended tan interior, I desided a dark red gave the car a richer look to it. The windows were tinted using Tamiya clear blue. The car was built box stock. The 55 was painted using Testors black lacquer and build a year ago. I think the Tamiya black in a much deeper black, IMO Let me know what you think. Al
  10. Beautiful workmanship Harry!!!
  11. Oscar, the 162 was without nitrous. The system was a dealer installed back in 82. The dealer told me that with age of the car (32 years), the NOS could destroy the engine. The bottle is fully charged, but I disconneted the switch.
  12. Thanks Jeff and Ray. The only thing I don't like about my car are the pewter wheels. A PCA member said these can be polished out to a chrome finish, but said it is extremely labor intensive. I have other these that need to be done first.
  13. Ray, I just posted pictures of my 1:1 928 under "What's your 1:1 car". Hope you enjoy it as much as I have. Al
  14. I posted these pictures of my 1:1 928 because I just finished the Tamiya 1:20 928 and posted it in Underglass. My Porsche is a 1982 928 with a Competion Group with a 5 spd, which is the same as a 928S offer in 1983. It's #592 of 1132 imported in 82 and one of 16 with the Competion Group. Oh did I mention it has NOS I am the third owner, original owner was a Jersey State Trooper and then my buddy Big John who only put 130 mile on it in 12 year. The car has 92,046 miles on it now, which 600 miles are mine since 2007. All restoration was done by myself, which includes interior, rebuilt engine and minor body work. This is a fun car to drive with my fastest top end of 162 at Pocono Raceway for a PCA weekend early last year. Enjoy the pictures of the most understated Porsche. Thanks for looking. Al
  15. Thank you everyone. The SUV took 20 minute to build. The 928 took a year because I lost the headlight len's and I never call Tamiya. Once I call them, they were here in 4 days. Great customer service!!! Al
  16. Beautiful job!!! You should warn people wear there sunglasses when viewing your excellent yellow paint job
  17. It's fantastic driving car. Had it up to Poconos raceway early last year on a PCA weekend and we had it up to 162. Scared the heck out of me, but loved every minute.
  18. Thanks, but I have the decal. I haven't put it on yet or finished the engine because I want to open the hood on my 1:1 for reference, but it's 2 below outside.
  19. Thank you. I'm the third owner, all from Jersey and it has 92,046 miles.
  20. Been under the weather for the last couple of weeks, so I desided to finish some works in prgress. The 1st is a Academy 1:43 Cayenne Turbo in plastic that I got of ebay for $13.99 from Hong Kong with free shipping. This is a curbside and the kit is excellent, right up there with Tamiya. The body is pre-painted in a beautiful black and all the emblems are pad printed. I used Tamiya smoke tint for the rear windows and rear glass. I detailed the brakes which are a work of molding excellence. Next up is a model by Tamiya in 1:20 of my 1:1 Porsche 928S. I painted this one Porsche Guards Red to match my car. A local body shop mixed the Porsche red paint for me and put in rattle cans. (I don't use an air brush) I removed the european style side makers and converted everything to an Ameriican specified car. It is great having a model of my own car. Let me know what you think. Al
  21. Beautifully done Alan. I like turning promo' s into your own creations.
  22. Just turned 204,000 on my 2007 Mazda CX7 on Saturday and my wife has 219,000 on her 1999 Continental. Both were bought new and are the most reliable cars we ever owned.
  23. Very nicely done Alan. It's always hard for me to glue mirrors on promo's. BMF and wash are reversible, IMO!!!
  24. Beautiful Harry!!!
