  1. Beautiful builds, I always love you work!!!
  2. Gene, The wheels were easy. Go over to Michael's and get a "DecoColor" extra fine tip paint marker in black. The markers make fine detail quick and you only need one coat. They also make a 6 pen set with black, white, red, blue, green and yellow. Great product. Thank everyone for the nice comments on my Shelby. Al
  3. I wanted to build this one in 2013, but the holidays got in the way. I did some research on this one and the rarest color was Grabber Orange with white stripes, so I painted this one Tamiya Bright Orange, no clear and no polish. The interior was painted Tamiya's primer white and semi-gloss black. Decals supplied with the kit where used for the wood dash and door panel inserts. Tamiya's blue tint for window and AMT's RWL Goodyear tires replaced the ones supplied with the kit. Nice kit!!! Thanks for looking. Al
  4. Once again, Thank you for all the great compliments on my Mercury. I can't wait to see other members ideas for this wonderful kit.. Happy New Years. Al
  5. I never use primer when using Tamiya of Testors Lacquers. I love using Tamiya's sprays, they always come out beautiful.

  11. Erik, everything fit perfectly. This is a fun kit to build. The engine is not a flat head though. But I only build curbsides, so it didn't matter to me. Thanks guys. Al
  12. I picked this one up on Thursday of last week and just couldn't wait to build it. I painted it Tamiya Royal Blue, no clear and no polishing. The light wood tone was brush painted with Italeri Acrylic flat skin tone warm tint. The darker inserts were provided by decals. The interior was done with dark burgundy seats, black carpet and 2 tone wood door panels that match the outside wood trim. This is a well engineered kit, Love it!!! Let me know what you thinks Al

  22. About 2 hours ago I was working on my new Shelby convertilbe, when I dropped my hobby knife. I thought for sure it fell on the floor. I got my flash light out to look under the chair to find it, but it wasn't there. So I sat down to try to think where it went, it was at that moment I realized where it was I sat on it, 4 stitches later and a lot of people laughing at the hospital. Just thought you need a little humor at my expense, I know my wife is still laughing. Merry Christmas, Al
