  1. This one started out as a Monterey promo that was in pretty bad shape. I got it off ebay cheap. The body and top were badly cracked. I used the 61 Galaxy for the top and glass. I replaced top top with the Galaxies and repaired all the body cracks. The tires were replaced with Round 2 60's white wall and the body was painted in Krylon's Ocean Breeze, which is very close to the original Mercury's Turquoise. This is a replica of my parents car and the car I learned to drive on. The way you can tell a Metero is by the body color tail light surround. Let me know what you think or any suggestion to improve it. Thanks A

  20. Thanks guys. I searched for a long time for a hard top. Then a week later I won the convertible too. I didn't appreciate these as a kid, now I get a second chance to build them the way they should be done. BTW, the conv. will be done in a light powder blue. Al
  21. I got this one off ebay. It was stripped of the Gold undercoat with Testors Metallic Red top coat. 24 hours in Purple Power and it was back to the original white plastic. It is painted Testors Wimbleton White Lacquer with 3 coats of Wet Look clear. The interior was done in red and white. The previous owner shaved all the emblems though. All an all, I'm pretty happy with it. Oh ya! That's a 60 Mercury convertible that's just came out of the stripper and waiting for the Modelhaus's Chrome. Thanks for looking. Al
