  7. Beautiful as always Rich. I always liked the 59 Fury with the headlight eyebrows. Bringing these old promos up to the latest standards is very rewarding. Great job. Al
  8. I built this one when the model was 1st release. real nice kit, but I had a lot of trouble putting the front driving lights on. I finally gave up and mine doesn't have any. Al
  9. Great build and topic. I crashed my dad's 72 Ford Country Sedan into the back of a 61 Buick. The Buick won. It wasn't a happy day at my house either.
  10. Just wanted to show you a picture of my 69 Continental I had years ago. Looking for the AMT kit. Thanks for looking

  16. Thanks guys. This is one of the easiest cars to to convert to a convertible. Now all I need to find is a reasonably priced 69 Continental kit so I can build one like my 1:1 I owned about 30 years ago, I miss that car. Al
  17. I bought this on ebay under built kits. It was a 4 door hardtop with the optional padded half roof and trunk kit installed. It was in ok condition, but those paddaed parts had to go. I was going to do another hardtop, but the last builder must of had stock in glue, because when I pried them off the damage from the glue was extensive. I ended up removing the top and rebuilding the trunk lid. The paint on this one is Tamiya's primer white, 4 coats of Lowes Valspar light blue spray, 4 coats of Testors wet look clear. The interior was done in Tamiya's racing blue over a semi-gloss black base coat and the glass was tinted with 3 very light coats of Tamiya's clear blue. It took a lot of polishing with Novus #2 to get the light blue to it's mirror finish. I don't think AMT made a 66 convertible, so this made a nice addition to my Lincoln collection and makes a nice companion for my 68 teal Conti. I'm waiting on a replacement windshield, because I crack this one during the conversion, so the sun visors will be installed then. Let me know what you think, thanks for looking. Al
  18. Scott you are right. When I type this up I was looking at the Ranchero box and typed 60 instead of 61, good catch. My uncle Art had a nursery and he drove a silver 60 Courier with the single seat and should have known better. He would take my cousins and I out in his fields and we would all come back bruised and covered in evergreen branches, good times. Thanks everyone for the nice comment on my build. I did it the way I like em, bare bones. Al
  19. Ecellent as always Felix!!!
  20. This is a Jimmy Flintstone transkit and a real nice conversion kit that includes body, interior tub and bed insert. Everything goes together perfectly with very little filing. I painted the body Tamiya bright red with primer grey interior with black accents. The glass was tinted with a light coat of Tamiya's clear blue. I did file off the outside of the kit supplied wheels to make the white walls look more like 1960 period tires. This makes a nice companion model for AMT's Ranchero. Thanks for looking. Al
  21. Very nicely done of a forgotten Ford.
  22. Nice build, love the color.
  23. Great looking restore. I have one these too from eBay, just don't know what to do with mine yet.
  24. Thanks guys. This is in the Lincoln Mint series. The diecast body was paint In a color close to the one I repainted it in, but had a lot of orange peel so I totally stripped and started from scratch. You can still find these on eBay.
  25. This was a quick two day build. I painted it a Dupli-color wine over a gold primer and Tamiya clear red top coat. The model is built pretty much box stock with the exception of the after market velosity cones. The body is diecast with the rest of the model being molded in plastic and includes photo-etched parts including the grill and dash bezels. Overall a nice kit that goes to together well and looks good. Thanks for looking. Al
