  1. Thank you guys. The wood was brush painted with Testors colors Wood and Rust.
  2. I found this resin transkit on ebay for $50.00 and it's worth every penny. It comes with everything you need for the wagon conversion and the rest comes from Revell's kit. I paint this with Dupli-color red primer and Tamiya's dark racing blue, with Testors wet look clear top coats. All paint was done using rattle can. The interior seats are done in Restolium's dark merlot with 2 tone wood door panels. The transkit provides the correct wagon rear bumper and door handles. I sent the door handles out to be chromed and will be installed later. What a nice transkit, made by Bestmodelcarparts. Highly recommended. Thanks for looking. Al
  3. Here's my MAD resin 69 Cadillac painted with Dupli-color Sandust Gold Mist, a Ford color over Tamiya's grey primer. A nice mellow gold. Al
  4. Thanks again guys. This is one of best Flinestone transkit he's done so far. Al
  5. Thank you Stephen.
  6. Thank you Rusty, but I'm sorry it's done. Al
  7. Thanks guys. I love my Big Boats!!! Al
  8. Thank you Charlie.
  9. Thanks everyone. If I don't finish them fast, I loose interest and they get lost on the shelf along with my vision of the completed project. Al
  10. Like I said, I do everything fast. Finished in less than 24 hours and I think it came out pretty good. Let me know what you think. Al
  11. Thanks Rob, Ron and Mike.
  12. White with blue carpeting.
  13. Thanks Curt and Ray. Anyone familiar with my builds, knows I like to finish them fast and done the right way. So the body was primed and 4 coats of Dupli-color Military Blue was applied and then 3 coats of Testors Wet Look Clear. I also tinted my glass using light coats of Tamiya's Clear Blue. Now I'll let it dry over night and polish it out tomorrow.
  14. I had bid on one on ebay the other night and it sold for $179.00 plus $45.00 shipping, so $135. was cheap. Mint in box are extremely hard to find.
  15. What do most people do with a $135.00 mint in box original Johan 68 Imperial promo, put it in a display case and put it on the shelf. Not me, I'm repainting it in original Dupli-color Chrysler Military Blue with a white quarter top, white interior and BMF. I've been looking for one of these for 40 years and I'm doing it my way. Stay tuned. Al
  16. Beautiful build Harry. My old boss has an original one in his warehouse in North Jersey. It runs, but smokes a lot.
  17. Here's some better pictures Skip. Thank you Ray. Al
  18. This Welly Bentley came today in the mail and I wasn't crazy about the silver paint job, so I took it apart. I primed it with Tamiya's white primer and then painted it Dupli-color Quasar Blue with 4 coats of Tamiya's clear blue for a top coat. I think it looks better in blue. I just wish someone would do one of these in a plastic kit. But until then, I'm happy with this one. Thanks for looking. Al
  19. That is one beautiful Poncho Steve!!!
  20. I've have a customer who love these. I have built 11 of them over the past 10 years. They are a pain to get right, but with a little patience and good reference material, a nice curbside can be done. Here's a Ramble wagon I finished before Christmas. Al
  21. I still love you Scott. Al
  22. Thanks guys. I used to build strickly 1:43, now the eyes can only do 1:25 and larger. Al
  23. This started as a 1:48 Tamiya 42 army staff car. I painted it Testor Honduras Maroon Lacquer with wet look clear top coat. All chrome was done with BMF and a lot of patience. The interior was painted Tamiya's grey primer. Very nice, hard to find little kit. Thanks for looking. Al
