  2. Link doesn't work. Dan
  3. Great, cain't wait to see it in person. Hope you can make it to the next meeting. You know it's at Mark's house for December's meeting don't you? I've got mine finished and it's waitin fer the meeting. Dan
  4. Brad, is that the "NEW" Buick for the club that I just saw on here? Looks great. I have more stalled projects. All of these in the next pictures need finished with the exception of a couple. One day they will get done. Dan
  5. I was kinda private once. Then I became a PFC, then SP/4 and finially a SP/5, but that was a long time ago. Oh, and by the way, I'm here now also. Dan
  6. Thank you guys. I am an Army vet from 1967-1970 and I want to thank all who have served and are serving now for your service. If it wasn't for our serving there wouldn't be a veterans day. To all who gave their all a very special thanks. GOD BLESS all who have served and are serving now. Dan Popeko, SP/5 from 1967-1970 U.S. Army
  7. WOW, that is nice. Now I know what Chris ment. I like it. Dan
  8. Gregg, That's my 40 Ford on the table and, it's Ok with me if you print it and post it. Dan
  9. Maybe Matt , but I never intended it to be the longest one for me. This kit is the AMT's Tin Indian that I wish I had the decals for. I used them on a 65 GTO when I was over there. Dan
  10. Great thread Brad. I have a few stalled builds in my stash. Here are some pics of some of them. Both of these Pontiacs Both of these Corvettes Sometimes I feel like doing this to some of them. I started this garage about a year ago and this is where it sets now. I have a 56/57 Corvette that is also unfinished and waiting. Here is the oldest one that I have that's waiting to be finished. It's a 68 Firebird that I started way back in 1968 while I was on Okinawa. It's still waiting. Thanks fer lookin, and thanks Brad, maybe now I can at least get this one finished. Dan
  11. WOW Brad, so sorry to hear this. What a real bummer, and it was looking really cool. I hope you can come up with something. If you still have the 7 piece car, would you bring it to the meeting? I would like to cut it up and use the fenders and maybe the doors as spare parts hanging on the wall of my garage I'm trying to do. If not, that's OK. Dan
  12. YEs sir, you're more than welcome to visit. I'm sure the guys would love to meet you. They're a bunch of really nice guys. Oh yeah, and a girl/woman. Sorry bout that Brad. Brads fiance comes to the meetings also. Hope to see ya one of these days Donald. Dan
  13. Thanks Mike, I needed that. That's the way I build though. Just in case I want to take somethin apart to either rebuild or to try somethin else. I want it to come apart easily. I've always been that way. And Donald, I wish sometimes it wasn't as far as it is either. My family all live in the Akron area and it's just to far away. Dan
  14. December 5th of this year will be our 41st anniversary. I met her 42 years ago and we got married one year later. I'd marry her again. Dan
  15. Thanks Brad, and it will be at the meeting if I have anything to say about it. If I'm there, it'll be there. I can't wait to see the others. One thing is I forgot to paint the bottom of the interior, so now I have to take it back apart and paint that. DOH! You can see part of it on top of the transmition and rear wheels. Oh well, back to the drawing board as they used to say. I hope to see ya at the meeting. Dan
  16. Well, I got her done. Here are some pics of her in her finest. I used two coats of Testors clear parts glue to try and make them look like they have a lens in them instead of chrome. What do you guys think? I also did this to the back up lights. A little weathering for the chassis. Thanks fer lookin. Dan
  17. Yes Brad I'm bringing it and it might be close to being finished. I got the BMF finished tonight and man was it a pain on the left side. The lines on the front fender aren't very prominent and I had a rough time trimming it and I had to redo the left rear quarter panel because of the faint lines. But, I got er done and my eyes almost crossed. Later, Dan
  18. AAAAAHHHH, the old look at the destruction sheet after it's built trick. Yeah. Dan
  19. Not really Mike. I wish. Dan
  20. Well Mark, all I can say is the kid had a warm behind fer awhile. After the initial behind wooopin 'ol dad kinda liked what his son did to the performance of the car and started bragging about how smart his kid was to get his (dads) Buick to go faster. 'Ol dad started a savings account for his son that 'ol sonny didn't know about so he could buy his own hot rod later. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Dan
  21. Thanks Dave and this is a fun build for me. The guys in the Buckeye Scale Auto Club are a bunch of good guys and I'm glad to know them. This is the first time for me to build a same kit for any club and I'm having fun and that's what it's all about, having fun. Dan
  22. Mike, it's close but not the exact same. I mixed up a small batch to paint this and it came out real close. This is a tad bit bluer or darker than the 53 Ford. If I would have added a touch more yellow I could have matched the green for the Ford. Dan
  23. SSGT Clay, I was stationed at Ft. Story Va. back in 67 for Viet Nam training. All sand and swomp. We were 2 miles from the beach and I had a weekend off from duty and stayed at a motel and slept most of the time. We needed rest from all the training we went thru. I think you'll like it there. It gets hot there though in the summer time. Take care and thank you for your service. Dan
  24. Thanks Brad. Here are some pics of the right side with the foil on it. I don't have any BMF on the left side yet. Thanks fer lookin. Dan
