  1. Burnout

    1964 GTO

Nice work Crazy. I like this one a lot. What kit is that from?
  2. That is a beautiful model and the photography is also outstanding!
  3. That is truly spectacular work! Maybe the nicest model car engine I've ever seen. I can't wait to see the finished model.
  4. Thanks Cliff. Actually, the paint is Alclad II. I used mostly Aluminum and Steel colors. Although it didn't turn out as envisioned, I'm still happy with it.
  5. Thank you all for the kind comments. UncleScott - the grill is stainless steel mesh available from McMaster Carr. Obviously I missed my mark going for the bare metal look. I just couldn't figure out how to turn my resin body into real metal so I settled for painting. My bad. Some of my inspiration can be seen below. 6. At least that's what I was shooting for. Mostly a combination of Revell '32 Ford parts. The body is from Reps & Miniatures, the engine is from the Rat Roaster and the rear wheels are from Comp Resins. Thanks for looking.
  7. That is a beautiful model. I'm really impressed with the tin work. Did you have any trouble with the old Slixx decals? I've got some that old and often wonder how they'll do if/when I use them.
  8. Not trying to derail this lively debate but I was wondering- are the cashiers at HL's outside of Colorado also so incredibly slow, inept, and overwhelmed that you need to factor that into the time it will take you to buy a model? (And I'm pretty sure, that at least in this case, it's not the weed) Now, back to work...
  9. Very nice work. Your personal touches really add up to a great looking model.
  10. Not the S&M Pro Stock (though prepped by S&M) but this link contains an old magazine article on this car. It was retired by owner in 1975 as it was raced rather than be outfitted with a roll bar! http://board.moparts.org/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=Racer&Number=6078799&Searchpage=1&Main=6078596&Words=+Choppintime&topic=&Search=true
  11. Beautiful model. You're setting the bar kind of high for the rest of us!
  12. Very nice work Roger! As a new dad, I'm surprised you have any bench time!
  13. Great stuff guys! Thanks again for your help. I guess I better get to work.
  14. Thank you for the info! This should all help out a lot. I'm just getting started so it could be a while before I have any pics. Looking forward to seeing what the rest of you come up with!
  15. I'd like to build up the new S&M Pro Stock Barracuda kit into a super stocker using the hood and scoop from the sister kit. Something like the Ramchargers SS/DA shown on Ratnasty's recent post in the Aftermaket forum. I understand the class designations but I am having trouble finding information regarding general super stock rules from the early '70's. I am curious about things like: - headers and exhaust - I think headers are OK but can they be open or must they be routed through the stock exhaust? - interior - is a back seat required? - type of roll cage required? - rear tire max. width? - any engine mods allowed? - etc. If anyone can point me in the right direction, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
  16. Far out, man! I'm really diggin it. Seriously, that paint job is fantastic.
  17. My favorite is the first clip after the title when the small silver car slams into a bus stop where a man is waiting. The guy who gets out of the passenger seat is a Russian cop and he walks off like nothing happened.
  18. That is beautiful CJ! I like everything about it but the paint and wheels really stand out.
  19. Beautiful model. Everything about it is nice!
  20. Very sharp model. You did an especially nice job on those wheels!
  21. Stunning! Out of my league. Very inspirational work.
  22. That is a stunning model! Very nice.
  23. Very nice job. Model looks great and I know that is not the easiest kit to build.
  24. Looks great but I too, want more pics!
  25. In fact, there is a blacksmith's shop next to my local post office but the VCR store is now a "garden shop". Happy trails....
