A mate of mine got the complete series on a usb stick and i watched it so much that i was all movin on'ed out half way through it !!!!!!!!!!!
With the buttons thing is , is that when you have a twin stick gearbox the second gearstick used to do what the buttons , ( splitters ) do now .
Great thinking out of the box building mate . We had one of these at my last job working for a raw material quarry and the tanker was yellow with black sargent stripes on the back it was made by caterpillar . Great job mate .
Sad to hear that a man that helps keep the peace died doing it . We have people here in australia that say they hate the police , but when ever somebody belts them or breaks into their place the first phone call is to the police .
Did they get this bucket of puss that shot him ? Sorry to his family .
I remember reading ages ago about the merc sleeper , so i went and found the forum and the subject on hanks web site . I hope they don't mind me putting the link here as it has some good photo's .

G,day , i just pulled out my copy of the AMT 1971 catalog . And all i can see is 6 modified stockers ,
T-189 66 Buick skylark
T-190 65 olds 88
T-191 65 fairlane
T-192 66 chevy
T-193 64 ford
T-194 69 torino
I met her once when they were doing the rumours tour in australia in the 70's . I was driving for an express company when i got a phone call in the depot that the primemover on trailer 26 had blown an engine and they needed another truck real soon . I took it and drove from melbourne to sydney and was parked up waiting for my trailer to be called to unload . While i was sitting on the fuel tank this smallish gourgeous woman walked from around the front of my truck , we talked for awhile and she left but came back a little later giving me a copy of the rumours cassette for my truck , no i didnt get her to sign it as i was into country and western then but took it to be polite . I did play the guts out of it though as it sounded cool .
AMT's w model kenworth had them but i'm not sure if the coe kenworth has them . Or go to a cheap store and see whats available in the womans section and see what belts they have . Some of the womans belts have studs on them that look like moon caps , i also remember that the hubs on the early pete is'nt flat so you will have to cut or file them flat to stick the caps on .
Tonight in my garage i found an old overdrive magazine , February 1980 . It has a couple of photos but not of the interior , it does say that it has a full custom built belly pan . Is the rear wheel guard the same as the amt turnpiker pete ? .
The car i helped make many moons ago had to have all panels fitted and secured . The bonnet had to be on so no hot oil or water could cover the driver when it got belted .
