  2. My firsts include, Listening to others on this forum and trying their ideas, instead of doing it my own way. Some I have learned made life easier. Watching youtube videos of others in the modeling community. Dr. Cranky and Chapman have taught me a lot. As well have others... Thanks for my firsts and hopefully not my lasts for a longtime to come

  4. Acetone may help the glue to soften up to allow you to clean it up some.

  8. I agree with the silver base. But I would prime the car first with either white or light grey.
  9. If the paint is enamel or lacquer you can use alcohol. Or dawn dishwasher liquid.

  12. While I don't have any pictures of them, I stripped the chrome off a set. I clear coated them with lacquer then sprayed Gold Chrome lacquer from duplicolor in a can, then clear coated once more.
  13. I would make cuts at the wheelwell, then pull the body out, and fill til I achieved the look I want.
  14. Embossing powder is a paper product and can be painted. You can glue it down with white glue or paint.
  15. CA is cyanoacrylate or more commonly known as super glue. The accelerator is another chemical that speeds up the drying time of the CA.

  18. Primers do many things. It gives a surface that the paint can bite on to. It also fills small imperfections. It provides a barrier to "hotter" paint formulas.

  21. Tri Y manifolds were very popular in the Pontiac Cars. 180 degree Stock Car headers were also in the Tri Y configuration to promote the low end torque needed in short track racing.

  25. What brand of liquid mask did you use? I have only seen this happen when parts were not washed good before priming.
