  1. Parma Hobby is still open. They are located on Ridge Rd. just south of Brookpark Rd.
  2. Kudos. Fine Job!!
  3. http://i1326.photobucket.com/albums/u644/feelixcat/General%20Lee/GL172_zps4aab7024.jpg This is some being built from another person on another hobby related forum. The white is his creation, the black one was the kit supplied unit. Hope this helps.
  4. Build the springs with strip styrene, easy to arch and you can glue several pieces together to get the amount of spring plates needed.
  5. Also, try cleaning the pickup tube, and air hole on the cap.
  6. When rubbing out the clear coats, I use some paste type rubbing compound. I use the "Turtle wax" brand, then follow up with Novus #2
  7. Click on the IMG code, right click in the reply box and select paste. That is how I post, so the pics show up, and not just a link.
  8. Welcome to the forum from an up-north neighbor. We have a few modelers that come from the Akron area, to our model club. Website info at http://northcoastautomotivemodelers.webs.com/
  9. Tamiya's acrylic clear is X-22
  10. My wifes hobby is being a professional nagger. It always seems about the time I go to do some "quality" modeling time, the nagging starts. Other than that, possibly cooking.
  11. If it seems to thick for nails, it may be that the thinner has evaporated. Sometimes just adding a small amount of thinner and shaking will help revive it. But I have even taken completely dried up bottles of it and added thinner and got it back to a liquid state. These were also no metalflake, solid color nail polishes.
  12. As long as your base coats are dry. You should have no problems, shooting an acrylic clear over any finish.
  13. New video explaining more about "E" racing
  14. Excellent tips. I'll add mine. Foil from a discarded "BOX" pack of cigarettes can be glued to the underside of a car, to replicate heat shields, by exhaust components. The shotgun patches also make good underhood fabric.
  15. I was just thinking after reviewing the video, how long can this car go before needing a recharge? Can the batteries be swapped in less than the time it takes to change the tires?
  16. I had this problem only once. I did not primer the body before I shot the Acrylic. I learned that you need to have some adhesion to the body.
  17. Close the room when the judging begins. Then reopen for discussions.
  18. The top of the dash needs to be above the side panels. It does look good. Hope that helps.
  19. This should answer all your questions. Name is different, but the paint is the same. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=86596
  20. Sorry kataranga, I did not see your post, before I posted
  21. I found this to be interesting.
  22. This could be the biggest wiener roaster ever invented also.
  23. Makes me want to find my Revell RPMZ RC car and reskin the body from a nascar, and do a rally car.
  24. Did you try contacting Testors directly? http://www.rustoleum.com/stand-alone-contact-us/contact-us-testors/
