Your advice needed for this OMNI project
Mister Twister replied to Mahogany Rush's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
As Force stated you will probably have to source parts from various kits. I built this Super Gas type car several years ago (its similar to the Omni) and I used a modified Revell Pro Sportsman chassis (shortened and narrowed) with a scratchbuilt cage. There are many ways to go at this build and I hope you find the route that is easiest for you.- 28 replies

Mister Twister's Completed Builds For 2015
Mister Twister replied to Mister Twister's topic in Model Cars
I really appreciate the great comments guys! You are right Nick...Dios add another dimension to most builds,but... they can be a problem when it comes to storing them. Especially if they are large scale scenes. I've had them stacked in closets and in dresser drawers and even under my bed at one time. The smaller bases like an 8" x 10" that will hold one model and they don't have to be super detailed to look good and they will generally fit in the display case fairly well (assuming you have one). Thanks again to all and HAPPY HOLIDAYS!! -
Excellent work John! I really miss the modified class with all its high winding engines. My favorite (which I saw in person many times) was the 6 cylinder "Pocket Rocket" Chevy II driven by Cotton Perry....Those were the days.
