  1. Price is due to Parts count. The R&R kits are almost complete. (Body, interior, seats, dash, grill/bumpers, etc) You need tores, etc, but everything else is included. The Flintstone is a Body Only(Like the pic of the 61 Impala 2dr wagon above). Maybe a hood. But NO grills/bumpers, etc. All that comes out of your parts box/donor kit.
  2. Why not go for the 1/33 scale B-52?? You think this is Big, The B-52 is 6 FT Wing Span!!!!!
  3. All we can do is wait and see if Round2 gives us that option again. Otherwise, You will either have to Cut the windows out yourself, and come up with correct Bench seats, or find an Original/early issue that still has those parts. The kit I have in the Penski set has the window inserts for the body, but not the bench seats for the Passenger option!! They pop up on that evil auction site, but plan to SPEND $$$$$ for an unbuilt!! Heck, Plan to SPEND on a Built Too Just watched one built as the Open Road MIni-Motor Home go past $45.oo and a second built as a Custom go over $35.oo!! Both had the separate side inserts! The Mini-Motor Home had the Roof extension!
  4. I believe they had Photo-etch due to the Small size, and Monogram wanted maximum Detail
  5. True, I too would hope for all the Original ear parts to be returned, but since they did not return the option of Window van or cargo panels and rear door windows to the Dirty Donny Back-dated kit, I doubt they will do it for this one Adding back the Rescue specific parts, Yes, but, the ability to make a passenger window van......... Only by custom work on our part!! The original issue of this version of the Chevy van kit had FOUR build options, plus modifications between those 4. They were Rescue, Police Paddy Wagon/Equipment unit, Cargo van & Passenger Window van with TWO bench seats!! We will likely get ONE of the Bench seats as it Is used in the rescue van. The 5-pc stretch should be returned, the 3 pc Oxygen tanks & cabinet with drawing to make a mask from masking tape/paper and line from thread, rope coil, axe, 2-pc bull horn, 4 flasher bases We should get 2 each red, and amber Strobe/rotator domes. (Maybe 2 blue for Police version if that option is in the box again.
  6. And, These are MONOGRAM, from Before the merger/take over! I have 2 of the Cobra. Monogram did a set of nicely detailer glue 1/32 kits that Does include 1 69 Charger in 2 versions. As well as a 69era Nova, and Ford EXP 2-seater I have the Stock Charger molded in Orange! The Street Machine version was molded in green (Almost a Neon) Parts for both stock & street machine are in Both issues. Tires in these kits are rubber/vinyl not styrene as in their Snap Tite series!!
  7. I use it to polish the metal axles in old kits
  8. I got one each of both the Ford & Chevy. If I had had $$ i would have gotten more. The Ford is apart & sanded with 400-600 sand paper to help remove the graphics. Chevy is still in the box I have 1/64-187 scale of them too. Or is one a Dodge?? I need to look again!! OK---- 1/87 scale, and are a 74 Ford Econoline & 75 Dodge!! Wish they had done the Dodge in th e1/24-1/25 scale!! Why have these not shown up at Toys-R-Us or other retailers yet?? Or did they, and I just missed them by not going there!!
  9. As I recall, the one I read about, got his thrown out by showing Pictures of Commercial vans like Phone company, without windows, or having them covered by equipment. At least with the doors, Because the windows Were there in Original & Early re-issues, you can see the markings fro them on the inside of the body.
  10. But, Back then Even Cargo vans had windows in the rear doors!!! I remember reading about owners getting tickets for them being covered, or blocked by contents IN the van!!
  11. Wouldn't be surprised!!
  12. Nice set up!!. Love the dioramas. I use to do similar, though only set out on shelves and tables. No diorama. Got to a point In was asked for sales, so started carrying some. The people running the shows changed and I was no longer 'Invited'! New group running them now, and want me back. Display only or both. But,.............. I need a better vehicle for it!! Carrying tables, book shelves, etc PLUS all the models filled my car with LITTLE room for ME!! I see the perfect rig right out my door, but.... The Church is using it as a Disaster-Relief response vehicle. It Use to be an Ambulance!!
  13. I have a 76 MPC awaiting Resto. Been stripped. And a Buiilt AMT Wagon!! I want a few more, so I am glad to see this one re-issued!
  14. I have the Penski Set Unbuilt, And the Original Rescue issue built awaiting completion of restoration. You are correct in that the side panels WERE Separate Pieces giving the builder the Option of a Passenger Window van, or a Cargo van, Or even Combination of the 2. The rescue had Bench seats to make a Standard Passenger van. If they Can't re-tool this option, maybe we can get them to add cut line on the Inside of the body to guide us on where the windows go!! Did they open up the windows on th rear doors with the back-dated "Dirty-Donny" re-issue?? Here is a pic of the Rescue Resto In-Progress showing the window panels Taped into the body. Actually, the tape is Holding the Side sliding door On!! Also notice the Hood is NOT there!! it was still a separate piece on this issue!!
  15. What about the Red lights in the grill of the 54?? Could that have been a Police Chief's cruiser? or was it a Volunteer Firefighters car??
  16. I use to use brake fluid. Til it started going Over $1.50++ a bottle!! I have Two Models that it did Not work on, (And they are STILL out there in it 20+ years later!!!) an Original AMT Keaton Batmobile primed with flat black, and a Monogram re-issued 1/32 scale Aurora 65 GTO painted good OLD Testor's #03 red!! The Red Fish-eyed. It should have still been fairly soft when I dropped it in the Brake fluid, But.................... I have been using Wesley's (Now BLACK MAGIC) Bleche White. Works good, Though it too has colors/paints it does not like to strip Brown Mostly so far!!
  17. Found my T&C wagon at WalMart of all places!! Not seen any in a long time though. And never seen the Diplomat anywhere but that evil Bay place!!
  18. What year?? My PD had a 4dr Maverick for a few years! Light rack was Identical to the Detroit Tactical unit piece in the Old Jo-Han 68 Fury kit! Just paint the siren speaker flat black or Very dark gray!!
  19. Thanks for the info. Surprised they did not have a 4 in those Compacts back then.
  20. I don't feel or see the difference in thickness between Ultra Bright & regular Chrome BMF. I did buy a Gold sheet that could not stick to itself to save its own life!! I Like both the regular & Ultra-Bright. As for Thick foil, Testor's Model Master felt like Kitchen foil, or Chrome Mylar (a Plastic material) over Double-face tape, over Plastic Wrap, over More Double-face tape!! It did not like to Cut smoothly. And once down, was Never Completely down!! You could leave a make in it if you touched it with a Finger-nail!!! At least this was a VERY Small sheet, about 2x7 Inches, and Given to me free!! There is another name on this foil, but I do not remember it!! Wonder if they have fixed that??!!! I have also used Detail Master. It was Good, but would Not Stretch into details like BMF will. It sticks to upper surfaces faster, so will tear if you try to press it down into details if you are not careful enough to get it down In first!
  21. I like Retro TV too. Just Like ME TV!! In Fact, I have had Retro longer than ME, and they used to have Adam-12, Dragnet & Emergency on! They are showing "Movin' On" on Retro Now. either 2PM or 3 PM The Bad thing on Emergency is all the longroof's they Kill!!!! Or at least appear to!! I know the Chrysler wagon we see crashed is reused a few times. Always Crashed badly too!!!!
  22. Well, Why did it not take!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! "I want this one too, even though I have two Early Pre-butchered issues. One an Original Styline, and the other a 'Desert Race/Rally' series "El Ranchero Grande" issue!! Neither had an open hood Or engine! But, Why do they need to put in only a 6? Why not a 4 Cylinder? These Were Compacts after all weren't they?? Didn't they come Standard with a 4?? And, Sedan Delivery?? I don't remember a Body like that. Or do you mean the Bed Cap often called a "Camper" top??" Hope this one Posts!!!
  23. I hope the Figure with the Trophy is included like the Original issue!!
  24. Since Both this Convertible & the hardtop were a part of the Countdown series, I don't think we lost any parts from the hardtop Not already Lost in all re-issues since the Countdown series was issued. I bet Most chassis, engine & Interior parts are shared between both versions too!
  25. True!! That is why I was Hoping some one had done them already!!
