As much as I can remember, the Airfix kit did. I built 2 of the MPC boxed version MANY years ago Still have one of them somewhere.

Agreed!!! I would love to do one too. But mine would be LAPD!! So yes, I would also have to replace the seats with one like in the Jo-Han 68 Fury kit!! But, V8 or Slant 6?? And, I have 2 1 of those Stock Belvedere, and 2 Dodges, and NO 6!!!

I don't even log in to my Photobucket to post them here. And I just use the links from the pic itself in photobucket. Open the album, and hover your mouse on th epic you want, See the little Gear that pops up in the top right corner of th epic your mouse cursor is on? Click on that, see the "Get Links" and click that. Choose the "IMG Codes for Forum Boards" click on that link and it will go Yellow & read "Copied" Simply "Right-Click" in the message and Choose "Paste" That will embed th epic into your message. To verify it worked you can 'Preview' before Posting the message. This way is a little easier than the one above. At least for me it is!

Sadly, if you Have to have Pay-The-Bay now, I can't ever list there. I lost 2 built kits I paid for and never received. (62 Thunderbird Hardtop & 72 Road Runner) I dumped that EvilPay back system Very fast after. It closed the case on me about the time the seller closed their account on the evil Auction site. Had I sent a Postal Money Order, I would have not only either gotten my money back, or the models, But the seller would have had the chance to be Criminally charged! Learned my lesson on that deal!! -

In this kit, I believe the Firestone decals are for the Wide-White Tire inserts for the Stock Hardtop!!! -

I am surprised to see the "Firestone" decals for the tires still there. Thought R-M dumped all tire logos a few years ago. I still want one of these. I have both convertibles, and both 56's. Also still need to get the 57's!! -

79 Mustang Pace Car?
Edsel-Dan replied to RadialDragon's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I built the MPC kit Way back then, (Still Have it) That is an addition to the hood. Looks like a Seat back, or toolbox piece It looks Too Flat accross the hood. It should taper at the front I do not remember having to add the Cowl Induction scoop to the hood. But that Was a Long time ago!!! Monogram also offered the 79 Pace car kit. Besides scale, the differences I know about are; MPC offered the T-top, You cut the roof along marked grooves, then separated the 2 pieces. and glued a T shaped piece in to the underside of the roof. This kit also had Both an In-line 4 and the 302 V8 of the Pace car. Monogram's kit had a Sunroof like Dealer Replica's. I do not know about engine options. I thought the Monogram kit Had been re-issued. They have re-issued the 78 Vette at least twice in the past 10 years!! I have one of those!h Here are a couple pic's of my 79 Mustang; -
1/32 Revell Freightliner & Reefer Trailer
Edsel-Dan replied to Mr mopar's topic in Truck Kit News & Reviews
I hope they plan to re-issue all th e1/32 scale Semi Trucks from Monogram!! I have the Mack R/Tanker kit, and plan to get this one. -
Considering how well the Matchbox/Hot Wheels size "Mini-Lindy" kits were it is not surprising they did the detailing they did on the1/32 kits. Though, they did Undersize Most of them!!!

Is that Airfix P51D the Monogram 'Phantom'Clear bodied kit?? Has Monogram/Revell ever re-issued that?? Was it called Phantom? or something else??

I use to display Built models at Antique car shows as Part of the club. It did not take long to start taking extra's and Cheap purchases to those shows to sell! Some days I did ok, others Nothing. But I did get the info Out there. And I had a Young kid, 17-21 ask for a 64 Comet Caliente!!! Right when Model-King was about to get that re-issued. If I had had them, I could have had a sale right then!! He owned the real car and wanted a replica./model!!! I have not shown in some time as there was a big change in club officials. Those that took over did not care for me being there. Now, I get asked back by the New officials. Just need a better set of wheels to go!! Almost had the Perfect vehicle, Retired Ambulance, but Church Disaster Relief group decided to keep it!!! -
My Original built is Still an In-progress restoration from a Melt warped roof. It Will EVENTUALLY be the Open-Roadster/Convertible version!! Just getting that Toneau cover for over the rear seat made !!! (HELP!!!!) On the nose, All I did was cut out the grills and add "Lights in there. 3 per side. I made them from the sports mirrors in MPC kits at the time!! (All I did was paint the 'Light[Mirror] face silver) I should dig it out and take some pic's The roof got damaged at the Very First car show I ever displayed at (Outside) KITT was in a Jo-Han display case. That and the black color intensified the sun on the roof, thus leading to a noticeable Droop!!! Easiest fix, Cut the roof Off!!!! As far as I remember, The Winged Wheel Logo was cast in Both the Body rocker panel, and the GTA Add-on piece. I shaved them off the body and saved them!!! I am surprised the went to the trouble to mold them On the body as they gave us decals for them anyway!!!!
