  7. this past sunday i realized i had my dart painted the wrong color, so after a few attempts at different things the only thing that worked well was 1 litre (quart)brake fluid mixed with 1 bottle 99% iso alchohol (16oz) or 500ml the body was painted with duplicolor and clear coated and it soaked for a few hours and i could use my fingers to remove paint it came off so easy
  8. well for your first attempt it looks pretty good to me i'm still new with the brush (5 bodies) and still to chicken to try flames
  9. nice job john, looks good
  10. Well i used LA'S totally awesome to strip tamiya semi gloss black and after 1 hour soak it was gone,, also i had a body painted in duplicolor cardinal red and cleared i tried every thing i had with no luck so mixed 1 litre(quart) brake fluid and 500ml (16oz) of 99% isoprpyl alcohol and with a 2 hour soak just rubbing with my finger over the body and all was gone yaaaa
  11. looks good think i'll try and build one myself, been thinking about it for a while now, i hate waiting so long for the enamel to cure on it's own how long do you figure it will take to cure in the box
  12. this has nothing to do with micheals but i just came back from erie pa and was amazed at the size of hobby lobby that was there used there 40% off 13 times in 3 days saved so much money

  14. Just got back from erie pa and picked a few things up The Hobby Lobby there is huge (old K mart ) i've never seen so many kits under one roof i counted 48 different kits 2- 30 foot aisles related to the hobby since i dropped my badger 200 figured i'd replace it with the same plus a paasche
  15. WOW very nice build, spectacular engine detail
  16. So why not post a sticky note and say it's this way and thats it thats all, instead of letting it go on and on
  17. There is only one way to put an end to the whole thing and that is for the hire aboves to make a final decision instead of letting it go on and on and on, it's like beating a dead horse people, the poll says what the majority want, the majority have said what they want.why these polls are put in place and why ask for peoples opinion if your not going to listen is beyond me
  18. Well it's 108 here friday, and in the plant at work the thermometer hit 48 celcius which is app 130 F sure am glad i don't work in the plant but i do feel sorry for the few that do
  19. Well i work in the aftermarket brake bussiness (25)years, and this has been a common practice for years, container loads of brakes arrive from china and india(backing plate with pad attached) they go to the factories in the USA and Canada, they get chamfered, painted and hardeware/shims attached then labelled as made in canada and or usa, and i've seen the shear test results and there not very good but because the consumer wants to save $15.00 to 20.00 per set of pads we have these products in the market, don't get me wrong all these brake companies do still manufacture there own but you pretty much have to make it clear when you purchase that you specify made in us or canada, or you'll get the cheap ones, 2 years ago we had 13 brake companies in ontario, all but 2 have been bought and moved to china and india oh ya happy 4th of july my freinds
  20. Great job i like the paint
