Hey Guys. The tail light assembly is nearing completion. I used the press to make up four of the rectangular units using the the Fimo Baking clay. This is what they looked like out of the oven.

Next task will be to take the four pieces and start assembling them into the corner pods.

Here are the pieces traced and cut.

Hey Guys. I made up the template for the corner tail lights so that I could trace the shapes for the four corners. The piece of balsa acts as a handle.

That is awesome ! I have never seen a panel van scratch built as a model before, I will be following this build with great interest.

With that done I recreated the shape in 1:25. This piece will act as a template for the other three. The next will be to create all four curvets and start assembling them onto the corner pods.

The corner tail light is a bit more complex, so I needed a different approach. The first thing i did was trace a template of the 1:1 to get the angles right.

Hey Guys. I am back up to speed with the images the third and second last ones were taken last night and show the creation of the tail light mould. I have tested it out on modelling clay and baking clay and the imprint in the baking clay lacks detail. Another option would be to pour resin into the mould but that won't be until the weekend when I cast up some new parts. In the meantime I will turn my attention to creating the corner tail lights. I expect that to be a much harder task.
