  1. Getting closer every day. Just a few bugs fitting the body and matching every thing up
  2. Those are Toyota rims??? Those look more Shelby than the rims from the Shelby kit.
  3. I got the interior together today. I wish i had looked at the decales more carefully. The door decals were already layed out to where they needed to be on the door panel. I didnt think about that on the first door panel and cut it out piece by piece.
  4. I have a body of a 67 mustang that I hacked the top off of the rest of the body is good, and I have 67 Shelby interior too if you need them
  5. It's starting to come together. The interior panels and the hood had to be stripped and re-painted. The engine and and the rest of the drive train got put in.
  6. Got my Shelby decals in yesterday, this interior is going to look sharp and gave it another shot of red I pulled the F-100 apart and tried painting.....and failed....misarbely
  7. I didn't feel much like looking through the entire thread but how do you re-chrome?
  8. Is this the kit that came wit a carroll shelby figurine?
  9. This is the first shot of red (Italian Red) you cant see it but the primer is still visible in some of the deeper areas (door jambs, around the scoops etc...) As some of you have seen in the Q&A post about repainting a modle...well that that's the one the 56 Ford Panel Van. I'm going to paint it white and put the Shelby racing logo on it and attach a trailer to it.
  10. hmmmmmmm???? I think those seats belong to a Camaro, not sure though I could be wrong
  11. I'm looking at repainting an older modle of mine. I'm just debating would it be easier just to cover everything that doesn't need paint, or would I be better off taking it apart and redoing it?
  12. Thats the one that i saw but dont feel pike shelling out $30
  13. any one know where to pick up a 1/25 scale Carroll Shelby
  14. So now I'm waiting on some more decals, and convert boot
  15. This is my attempt at making a 1968 Shelby G.T.350 convertible. I called it Frankenstein's Shelby because it's made up of three kits. I used the body, tires and interior from the 68 Shelby GT500 kit, the platform, suspension, engine, transmission, and GT350 stripes from the 67 GT350, and the trunk from a 68 Mustang Coupe. I have the rear kick panels from the 68 coupe attached to the door panels from the 68 Shelby To be true to what I'm building I swapped out the 428 for the 302 (which is the 289 from the 67 Shelby). The air filter wasn't fitting right so I used some plastic stock to remedy it after I cut the seats from the center counsel I didn't like how low they were sitting so I put some round stock under them to make it look better
  16. Why does the roof of this car remind me of my Grand mother's cupboards?
  17. There is also a 1:16 67' Mustang Convertible
  18. Never seen this, nor heard of it. It's an Entex 1:16 Mustang Cobra II http://www.ebay.com/itm/Entex-1-16-Ford-Cobra-II-9032-/120899557967?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1c262cda4f
  19. Nice build, I remember when I was a kid I had a model airplane of a P-38 Lightning and saw the pic of that, took the drop tank off and put some match box wheels and axles on it, and painted it red and white.
  20. Not sure I want to hack up another model, but that convert boot from modelhaus sounds promising thanks for the tip
  21. I bought the trans kit from Motor City Resin thought I would have had it by now, but the guy said 6-8 weeks.
  22. ...and so it begins Just to recap I'm using the drive train, engine/ transmission, under body, and side stripes from AMT's 1967 Shelby G.T. 350, and I'm using the body, interior, rims/ tires, and air filter from AMT's 1968 Shelby G.T. 500, and one of these days I will order the 1967 Mustang coupe kit from Motor City Resin for the roof, interior panels(for the back) and the trunk. So far I cut the engine bay out of the 67 Shelby, and put some parts together. This is going to be a slower build, but I want to get it right.
  23. Do you have a link to mini exotics
  24. Next question: The 68 Shelby (body donar) that I bought was the original release from AMT in the early 90's, I was at the hobby store last night and saw a newer 68 Shelby from AMT (had the pic of the golden Shelby on it), which of the two is the better as far as detail goes or are they the same thing in a different box
  25. This is my big deuce with TDR IRS, IFS and u joints http://www.flickr.com/photos/33410244@N04/5540403353/in/set-72157625782749027#/photos/33410244@N04/5540403353/in/set-72157625782749027/lightbox/
