  1. Like I said... you want user-friendly? Get a Mac!
  2. Time to upgrade your Quark Xpress!!
  3. There's a key near the upper right, should say something like "PRT SCR" or maybe even "print screen". Hit that key, then open up a new document in whatever image editing program you have, and paste the image into the program, then save it as a jpeg onto your desktop or into a folder or wherever you want to save it to. You could also hit the "PRT SCR" key, then open up MS Word. The image will be there in the Word doc. Intuitive? No way, it's Windows! If you want intuitive and user friendly, you should be on a Mac...
  4. Don't know what the problem is. Max. single upload size if you upload directly from your hard drive is 8 MB. That's a big enough file size to accommodate any "email" sized photo. Maybe somebody else has an idea...
  5. A lot of Tucker's initial ideas for the car didn't make it to production due to various reasons (practicality, availabilty, cost)... but even in it's "watered-down" production version the performance was right up there with the best of the competition.
  6. It depends on what platform you are... Mac OS 9 or older? Mac OSX or newer? Windows XP? Windows Vista Home? Windows Vista Premium? It works differently on each system.
  7. George, it's a curbside, $72.
  8. It's orange PEEL... not peal...
  9. I wouldn't want that either. I want one in 1/8 scale...
  10. I'll try to make it harder for you next time!
  11. ok, I've learned my lesson. From now on I'll repeat how this supposed to work every time... starting next week. As far as this week, well... the answer's already been given, so we'll call this one FINISHED. Yes it's a model by Juha Airio. (but Ricardo Montalban is real!)
  12. When you post photos from an image-hosting site, the pictures appear in your post full size. If they are too big this site will automatically resize them. You can post photos directly from your hard drive. Just click on the "Browse" button at the bottom right of your message window, then click "Upload."Â If you post photos this way, they appear as very small thumbnails that you have to click on to see full size. Example: This photo was posted from my Photobucket site: This phot was posted directly from my hard drive:
  13. It was brutal! Since naugas are pretty small, it took about 15-20 nauga hides to upholster just one sofa. No wonder the little guys almost went extinct...
  14. Another tax deduction! Congrats to the family!
  15. Even worse than the near-extinction of the Corinths, back in the 70s there was a severe over-hunting of the Nauga... because so many people wanted their sofas and chairs upholstered in Naugahyde! The poor Naugas were slaughtered by the thousands for their skins... they're still on the endangered species list! The only thing that saved them from total extinction was the fact that the Naugahyde fad fizzled out after a few years...
  16. "Corinthian leather" was made in a plant in Newark, NJ. Pretty exotic, huh?
  17. Hey George... you asleep already? It's only quarter to 12 here, Sunday nite, so I think I'll get a jump on ROM and beat you to the punch! Real or model? The answer: Next time I'll post a little note about how this thing is supposed to work. Since people have already given away the answer, there's no point in keeping this one going. Next ROM coming next MONDAY!
  18. I have never seen a Firebird lowrider! That paint job is fantastic... very nice work! You have some talent there!
  19. Maybe the fact that it says "Real or Model #XXX FINISHED" should be a clue?
  20. I always get a laugh out of the people who vote long after I already gave the answer. So far we have 2 votes after the answer was already given... but the best part is, one of them was WRONG!!!
  21. You're luck I DID drop one of 'em, otherwise you would of had 15 commandments, not just 10!
  22. The size tag (the size=3 thing). If you had 2 of them (one at the front and one at the end of your sig line) they would make the type size bigger. But only one doesn't work... you need them both for it to work.
  23. Oh man! I remember the Sting-ray bikes! They were SO cool! But my friends and I never had one... they were too expensive for our parents. We could only drool over the "rich kids" and their Lemon Peelers and their Apple Krates with the front drum brakes and suspension! All we could do was take the handlebars and seats off our bikes and replace them with aftermarket "monkey bars," banana seats and sissy bars. Oh yeah... now we were cool! I remember when my cousin got one of those stingray bikes with the loooong frame, the "drag slick" fat rear tire and the 5-speed "stick shift" shifter lever on the top tube. It was purple... Way cool!
  24. Wow... talk about a derailed thread! So how about VHS vs. Betamax?
