  1. Now that would be funny if it wasn't so close to being true!
  2. Nothing like the colors available in the 20s-30s... and then again in the 50s-60s. Those two eras were the best when it came to tons of cool colors available.
  3. If I got paid by the word, I could buy you a house! Unfortunately, being the sheriff here is a volunteer position.
  4. Three ring binder albums from Mystic Stamp Co. It's called the "American Heirloom" album. I actually have five volumes (all US stamps only).
  5. I got a lot to say...
  6. It looks more like a model than a real car.
  7. I'm not sure it necessarily means job losses in the US... they'll just be building different vehicles... Jeeps, Ram trucks and SUVs instead of Darts, Chargers, and Challengers.
  8. Just heard today that Fiat/Chrysler will no longer build any cars in the US... they will instead concentrate on their Jeep and Ram brands. Cars will now be built only in Mexico and Canada, not in the US. Not sure if this is good, bad, or indifferent... just interesting.
  9. Of course. Nobody is holding a gun to my head and forcing me to buy those kits. I buy them because those are the cars that interest me, and that is the scale I prefer. And it just so happens that kits of those cars in that scale are very expensive. I don't think I ever complained about the cost, did I?
  10. Pretty cool, but I don't know about the chromed Moon tank in back...
  11. Wow! Awesome, and that's a word I never use! I love the colors and everything else. Beautiful model. I wish cars still looked like this today.
  12. 14,000 posts? You amateurs kill me!
  13. We have days here where it's in the 40s one day, and 75-80 the next.
  14. Where do you find this stuff???
  15. Something about those body proportions looks really off to me. Not your fault, of course... but something's not right. I dunno... maybe I'm seeing problems that aren't really there.
  16. "Fish candy?" First time in all my 59 years on this planet I've heard that phrase! BTW... McD's Filet o'Fish is actually pretty good... I wouldn't call it "candy," but not bad.
  17. I'm sure most of you have heard the old saying about the weather in Illinois... You don't like the weather? Wait five minutes... it'll change!
  18. I know you don't want anyone to correct your grammar or spelling because this isn't "grade school," but the name of the car is Willys. Not "Willy's." The car doesn't belong to Willy... it's not Willy's car. It's a Willys. Pronounced "Willis." As in "Whatchoo talkin' 'bout, Willis?" Ok, enough grade school lessons. The model looks fantastic, and you have some serious painting skills!
  19. I've decided against it. The rivets molded onto the body are very small, but looking at my reference photos, they are actually pretty much in scale. I'm going to use a black wash to highlight each rivet and panel line.
  20. Do you plan to build it? Then open it up and take a look!
  21. But that's really a different thing. You're not tinting the glass, you're just adding that tint across the top. I think the guys here are asking how to tint the whole window.
  22. I think that with the RIT dye, you're not just "coating" the glass, you're actually dying it through and through.
  23. The dyed plastic is just like the original clear plastic, only dyed. The dye actually goes into the plastic; it won't rub off.
