  1. And were you also suckered into buying a Yugo?
  2. And that "professional looking" nameplate doesn't exactly help... PS: Gotta love a model where the gap between the door and the body is a raised line!!!
  3. Considering you only bought the model for the tractor, it looks great! Heck, it looks great regardless of why you bought the model!
  4. Their working vehicles look as slick as their passenger cars. A class outfit for sure.
  5. Apparently so. Must be magic.
  6. Perfectly.
  7. Real or model? The answer: MODEL!
  8. Both are incredible! But I really like the '41. Man, that is nice!
  9. I don't think they'd have the superwide tires sticking out beyond the wheelwells like that on a real one... but otherwise the model looks good. I like the thin gold stripe separating the red and white areas.
  10. No problem. Check out the "All the Rest" section, you'll like it.
  11. A few more...
  12. 1/24 scale cars are so ordinary! Yes, I have a lot. But I got a little tired of building cars, so I got into a much wider range of subjects. I still build cars, but this post is specifically about the "other" stuff we build.
  13. All you have to do is look at the "All the Rest" category and you'll see what else everyone here builds.
  14. Cars, trucks. motorcycles, ships, planes, locomotives, covered wagons, stagecoaches, streetcars, buses... but no tanks or armored vehicles.
  15. Hasn't this exact same topic been covered already... a lot?
  16. I can't answer your questions specifically, but from watching many episodes of "Antiques Roadshow," I can tell you that Stickley furniture, especially with the original finish, is highly collectible... and depending on the specific piece, can be very valuable. Do not sell that bed until you know what it might be worth!
  17. It's staying down there.
  18. Structure of lower wings done. If I was building this model as intended, these would be finished and ready to install: But I'm building a covered version, so all of this structure will disappear forever. Too bad! The "bones" look cool.
  19. Front cowling made from a section of plastic Easter egg:
  20. I never knew that fiberglass could dent and rust...
  21. This thread should be must reading for the naysayers that say 3-D printing is just pie-in-the-sky wishful thinking. 3-D printing is the way we'll all be making models one day.
  22. I think this should satisfy just about everyone. Now we have a "General" section for general model car and automotive topics only... so those who don't like the really off-topic stuff don't have to wade through it. And we have a separate "Off Topic" area for those of you who do like it.
  23. Yes. Ask about the specific kit here. I guarantee you, someone will already have the kit and know the answer.
